MD-11 checkride at end of IOE with former Marine fighter pilot/standards check airman....MEM to STN....8+ hours and my overwater cert....

Checkairman: (opens window and reaches out and cleans windshield.)
Me: (To myself--okay--cool. My former F-15 DNA "gets it", but then again that DNA has been sort of buried the last few years...) Cleans every glass surface in jet--displays, MCDUs, etc...
Me: (Getting ATIS...TOUCH the MCDU I'm using on the GLASS, and not the button)
CA: "You gonna keep putting your ********m hands all over my ********* screens?...."
Me: "Nope. Never gonna touch 'em again. Why?" (Continues with flow...)
CA: "grumble grumble mutter.....(breakouts out cleaning pads and goes over MCDU again)....

Rest of the flight went awesome. IOE checkout was a breeze, and I think he was just shocked when I laughed at him trying to be "gruff". Actually sent him a nice email when he retired. I've thought about barking at a FO for the same thing just for ****s and giggles, but I don't think I could keep a straight face long enough to pull it off....

Done by the same inconsiderate bone heads that leave the seat jacked all the way up so when a 6"4" dude gets in he has to practice yoga just to get the seat back.

Is this the definition of 1st-world-white-male-my-dad-is-CEO-of-EXXON-privilege? Awww, you're tall and have to adjust the seat? Cry me a river!

Drives me INSANE. Those prints aren’t the easiest to clean off either.

Classic. Too damn funny. Love the hand print. Get the FBI to track the fingerprints?

We used to rub our fingers on our noses and then drag them down a buddy’s sunglasses. Had it done to me. Hard to clean.
