Default New Aviation Film- by an FA

Haven't seen this but it looks interesting. A flight attendant actually wrote and produced it: www.theaviarymovie.com

OKay, I broke down and bought it. I'll give my report when I've watched it.

Well I doubt the woman ever really flew for an airline. (Actually she probably did but COME ON!) At least Two things jump out at me. First, no pilot I've ever met sits in his seat with his hat on. Second, no pilot I've ever know would sit at a bar stool with his 4 stripes on. What a load.

The only thing I saw that rang true was the bedroom scene.

Default FA Movie

OKay, I watched it. Twice, actually. Overall I think it's a really good film and I certainly have never seen anything like it. The story centers around a Chicago based flight flight attendant who gets an unexpected transfer which sends her to an over-crowded "crash-pad" where she has to sleep on the couch. She is on "reserve" and finds herself wishing for trips when she falls for a Hong Kong based Captain that she meets on her New York Layovers.

The movie does a really good job of presenting the world in a way I haven't seen before. Themes of anonymity and lonliness are explored rather than just partying and hooking up.

At first I thought that it was a little tough on pilots but the twist at the end of the film explains the tone presented early on.

I give it four out of five stars and suggest anyone in or around the industry check it out.
