What the story on GoJet?
Sorry guys but I haven't been up on the regionals in a while. I see some banter and the "s" word calling about the GoJet pilots. Can someone give me a synopsis of what the big problem is with these guys? What's the scoop? Thanks.

No, I'm serious. Furloughed from the big 6 and have been out of flying for the last 2yrs. Just curious as to what all the flak is about GoJet. I don't know anything about them and sure I can ask around and research but I was hopeful one of my fellow colleagues here would enlighten me.

I think you need 10 posts to start using the 'search' function. I'm only a CFI still so I'm not going to pretend I know a whole bunch about the regionals and particularly Blojets but I can tell you that's one place that will never see my resume.

Ok. I guess I'm going to get that treatment. Tried the search function. A bunch of bla bla bla and name calling but nothing that explains the situation. Best I can tell they are an alter-ego of Trans States. Union/contract busting. Nothing is surprising or new in this business.
Their pilots are universally despised in the regional world, I wouldn't even consider them since so many companies are hiring now.
They are equivalent to Freedom-A or Boston Maine if you are familiar with those fiascos.

TSA alter-ego, they are getting growth that should have gone to TSA. Mostly street hires, but a few TSA types jumped over to get upgrade out of seniority I think. Management even arranged for them to vote in the teamsters to prevent alpa from getting on board...naturally the scumbag pilots went along cuz alpa would have obviously integrated them by DOH with TSA.

One thing however I think is disgusting is to see the term "scab" thrown around as loosely as it is in this business. A scab is a strikebreaker. Not the right term here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strikebreaker
