If you don't consider all the facts, then how can you make an educated decision?
You can't just ignore the fact that gojets was created to circumvent an existing collective bargaining agreement. If you choose to work for an alter-ego then you have to consider the potential outcomes of your actions. There are plenty of people that will find a "weight restriction" before allowing you on the Jumpseat. There are many who will continue to look down upon you for the choice you made. Most importantly, if you can look at yourself in the mirror and be ok with working for an alter-ego, well then pad yourself in the back; you'll be a great fit for them. Just remember that when you're ridiculed and humiliated by those working at the regular airlines.

I'm sure you went to your employer with hopes of swinging gear for a decade - paying dues.
And I didn't gloat. My posts are always objective. I simply asked a question. I assumed he was a bitter FO based on his tonality and I was correct.

If saying where I work is a sign of professionalism and maturity, Bernouli is the oldest pro out here. I'll sign autographs by the Charlie gates on Fridays in ORD.

Because there is no such thing as QOL at a regional airline. Unless you do your own flying, you're constantly at the whim of someone else and always doing at-risk flying. I'm here to do my time, be mentored, learn and get out. "QOL" at a regional is why one regional just sank and another soon will. Too senior, too much longevity, too many guys who decided to stick it out due to "QOL" will soon not have any "QOL." Most all of those guys could have left but chose not to. I feel bad for those guys. I really do. They have families to feed & clothe but that's the risk of staying at a regional.
I'm taking this for what it is, a stepping stone. I'm willing to go cargo, LCC, mainline etc. once I've checked off the boxes I feel I need to check off for some career stability and to be marketable. Beggers can't be choosers and as far as I'm concerned, if you're at a regional, any regional, you're constantly begging.

I remember Pinnacle had pilots hired 2002-2005 that left to majors like Delta, Continental, and United in 2006-2007. Why? ALL of them were hired at the right time, at a growing airline, upgraded, got their time, and moved on. Right now, the only regionals with any growth are GoJets and Silver. Considering my background and the stagnation I saw, I will always recommend going to an airline that is growing and scheduled to do so for the foreseeable future. At 9E, in 2007, the growth was all done, and the only reason the hiring/upgrading continued is because people were bailing like crazy for other regionals outta 9E.

This whole thread is pointless. I heard anyone showing up for a Gojet interview lately is getting a Trans States interview instead...

Please. If anybody takes the cake for stupid stuff said on here, it's the anti-gojet posse that chimes in on every one of the threads.

Stupid question? Why is Gojet not listed in the current DCI performance stats? Not trying to pick a fight but last I checked Gojets is now a legimate DCI carrier now. I would love to see the stats! Heck Freedom is still on the list. I don't get it? Compass isn't even on there and I can vouch they are cover Gojets flying. My friends over there are worried Gojets will bring them down. Must be a Trans States holding exemption!
Funny how we in our current demise we ie Comair are still in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in every category on the DCI comparison chart. Even before our closure we were doing pretty well.
Our severence package is tied to our performance. In addition to our allocated flying we are covering Gojets, pinnacle, and lately a few Skywest flights. Doesn't make sense. We still are obligated to do that according to the company during our last month of existence. ***!
BTW if your at Gojets.....Good Luck with our old management. You can see what they did for us. Be wary of SB! He destroyed our training dept. My bet is he is trying to become your next president. I think he got his feelings hurt when they picked Bendo to run the company and not him. Word of warning!
Oh and good luck with our old airplanes! Think the term is "sloppy seconds!"

I think the real problem is the gojet pilots with a hire date of 2007 or less. These are the guys/gals that allowed the TSA pilots to be wipsawed and allowed this cancer of an airline to exist in the first place. They are the ones jumped the senority list to fly the super cool crj700. Now those individuals wont ride my jumpseat. Unfortunately because of these initial gojet pilots, now the other gotjet guys/gals will get their resume tossed in the trash at my airline if they apply. So think twice if you want be associated with gojets and you plan on ending up somewhere else in your career.
