You're right. My bad. Far be it from me, to slander that house of ill repute. Just seems like if he has offers, he would have access to call the company and ask these questions.

And another thing everyone says how gojet pay is crap. I agree but it's not that much than most. If you take every regional and put it at current gojet upgrade of 2.5 years and 8 year career it's comparable. Gojet:419k, republic: 421k, Expressjet: 417k, Skywest: 412k on crj 200. It's the regionals. They all suck pay wise. All those numbers are hour pay rate times monthly guarantee times 12 months and adding them together. In year 3 taking half year as FO and half is a capt. Granted gojet and republic top out pay as FO sucks but if u can upgrade at gojet it's then makes up for it.

Pay rates don't mean squat. Like you said, everyone is relatively close on rates. It's the soft money that counts. And I wouldn't bet the farm on that upgrade.....ask any 5 year Pinnacle FO who thought he was gonna upgrade in 2 years...soft money can easily be +- 30% of your income.
Luck and timing are everything. Next month GoJet could lose a ton of flying to be picked up by any other contract carrier. That change would vastly change the environment at both companies. As it stands currently, the upgrade at g7 is quicker than others.
The work rules could be better; they could also be worse. It's a regional, plain and simple.
There was a time when people left swa, ups and FedEx to go to UAL. To make such a move today would be psychotic. Our industry could not be more volatile.

Upgrade at ASA was 2.5 years when I was hired, now it's 7. G7 is good now, but in 2 - 3 years you could be undercut when TSA holdings starts up another airline with the MRJs and no union. You know, cuz you guys got "expensive". Lol

Why would they gear up training now if the 900s are predicated on the 717s which don't start coming on till late 13? You guys can't staff what you have now and you expect significant growth?

*not meant to be argumentative with you* I can't believe GoJets has a hard time staffing based on the ridiculously long line I saw at their booth at the job fair. At first, I figured they would be the loneliest, but it was Trans States, Cape Air, and Air Net that were the quietest. (most quiet? )
