The problem is that as soon as you chase an upgrade things stagnate and your always at the bottom of some list. Too bad pilots don't have a union. We are only part of an association that is more or less 100% worthless as far as the industry is concerned.

I don't know if G7 will be getting more lift for DAL, because I have heard that CPZ has been picking up the slack for G7. G7 has had some issues with flight completion with the 12 jets that they fly for DAL currently. I think that PNCL will get the lionshare of the 76 seaters because of the debtor in possession loan for them. They have a huge financial stake in PNCL. Not only that, but PNCL has a very large portion of the DCI flying. So that would be a lot of seats removed from DCI if they didn't replace the 50 seaters with the 76 seaters there.

Oh wow! I hope you guys demand higher pay for flying the bigger airplanes, then management refuses, and you try to hold your ground, and they just create another Alter Ego. Maybe call it Sky Plane!

Then they can have people jump ship for higher seniority, and that airline grows at your expense!

And have pilots at mainline bash you to bits for not wanting to jump ship to sky plane after working at another regional for 7 years. Just take the pay cut and deal with it.

there is no such thing as a regional being a quick stepping stone to the majors anymore. Better be prepared to be 10 plus years at one. I Don't care what Kit Darby, RAA, Riddle, age 65 or All ATP says....

Significant growth is expected on the Delta side.
Only growth I can see in the near future is the shutdown of Comair and it's remaining 700s and 900s subleased to GoJet by Delta. Only 13 717s coming online in 2013 so very little gains in 900 flying for DCI until 2014.

9E doesn't own the leases on those aircraft, Delta does. Delta can take all the 9E 200s and send them back to Bombardier in return for nothing to 9E if that is what Delta wants to do.

Not true. The latest ASA was signed the eve of the Ch 11 filing. While the details are deemed "confidential" and I haven't seen them, the press release talks of 1:1 and 2:1 swaps with larger airframes (read:900's). In the end 9E will be forced to be shed of at least 16 -200's, although we can all assume that number will be higher with 125 -200's being the max at DCI in the end. The idea of losing all 141 by delta simply "saying so" doesn't seem to be the case as 9E is contracted to fly them. As always, we can "assume" that performance metrics and various clauses allow for the total number to be reduced by delta's desires/actions.

Things will get interesting in the next 6-9 months to play out in 12-18 months is a given for all of DCI. Being in Ch.11 doesn't necessarily help the situation.
