Isn't OH the title holder for the 12 CR7's that just went from OO to Gojet?

If they want to allow a contract to expire, buy it out, or find language to screw a regional partner, they don't have to replace a regional's 200s with 900s. They could tell one regional to park their 200s, and send the 900s to a regional that they feel works out better for Delta. There is nothing guaranteed in any of this, except Delta will do what it thinks is best for their bottom line.
Because they're are over 300+ 50 seaters on contract through 2015. Many leases/CPAs go through 2020. The new 76 seat aircraft will be the incentive, or quid to the pro quo of allowing Delta to remove the 50 seaters from the DCI fleet before the leases/contracts are up. While Delta is technically in the driver's seat at 9E, the CRJ200's operated by Pinnacle are still under lease obligations. Delta wants to remove those aircraft from service before the leases expire. So there must be incentive for those holding the leases to allow this.

Pinnacle's 900s in atl are up at end of year so what's stopping delta from just moving those to gojet and has nothing to do with the new contract. I could be wrong and haven't read in detail the facts of everything but it could make sense
First the B717's must be operating on line. Then the 76 seaters may come at a ratio of 1.25:1(717:RJ). As each 76 seater comes a calculated number of 50 seaters must be removed.

The planned delivery of the 717's is 3 in August of 2013 & 16 total in 2013. Then 36 more in 2014 & 36 more in 2015.

That wasn't my point. My point was that no regional is guaranteed flying under this TA. That just because you have 200s now, doesn't mean you'll automatically have them in the future, particularly if your costs are not where Delta wants them to be. It is up to Delta corporate to decide where these aircraft go, and which will no longer be flying for Delta. Just because a 200 isn't flying for Delta anymore, doesn't mean it can't fly for somebody else. Delta could decide they are going to trade all of regional x's 200s for 900s. They could also decide to remove those 200s from service for Delta, and send 900s to another carrier. Its all about what is best for Delta in terms of cost. There is an old saying, contracts were made to be broken. There are a lot of clauses in these contracts that permit severance based on performance, and DL can manipulate things to make meeting performance goals easier or harder. DL has very good lawyers and accountants, and if you don't think they can find ways out of these contracts you are being very naiive.

Actually the aircraft are being returned to Bombardier. Then Bombardier will lease them to someone else. My guess is this has already been determined so there will be a minimal disruption. Could be why you're are hearing rumors of lots of hiring at Gojet through the end of the year.

Or could it be a large chunk of their pilots are United furloughs and they see a nice sized recall on the horizon... wishful thinking I suppose.
