Gojet preparing for CRJ 900's

*not meant to be argumentative with you* I can't believe GoJets has a hard time staffing based on the ridiculously long line I saw at their booth at the job fair. At first, I figured they would be the loneliest, but it was Trans States, Cape Air, and Air Net that were the quietest. (most quiet? )

If I was at a job fair looking for a regional job I would go talk to Trans States just based on their pilots on here...you guys make the best out of a sh!tastic situation.

Look at who you're comparing it to. Not that those aren't good places to go, but historically they have never had long lines of guys lined up. Most Cape Air guys I've talked to have no ambition of moving on to a major because they love their type of flying, not knocking them at all. Tans States has been bullied by GoJet since the beginning. I think a lot of the guys in the GoJet line are furloughed or just trying to get in the door. I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong, GoJet has been hiring street captains since day 1 of operations and hasn't stopped, even through the downturn. That in itself speaks volumes of the airline and what people think of it.

There are hundreds of 21 year olds, fresh out of flight schools, ready to fly a big shiny jet for minimum pay. That minimum pay will at least pay off the minimum payment on their $120,000 degree, and don't have to deal with the humiliation of not having an airline job, because they've already flown 500 hours and DESERVE to fly a jet. Cape Air and AirNet fly props (except Airnet having a couple of MU-2's). Trans States has barely been hiring since 2007. GoJet, on the other hand, has been hiring since it's inception. It's just a part of the "pilot shortage".
