I'm just relaying what he told me though. I'm sure others have had much better experiences.

Just something to consider as one weighs job offers.
We have had high washout rates at times for reasons that I do not know. I can tell you that I have been through training on the 145 and the 170 and both training programs were more than adequate and the checkrides were more than fair both times.

If it was me, it would depends on what's best for my QOL. In my case, RAH or GJ wouldn't be it for me.

From easiest to hardest certificate:
Republic:
"Explain to me the APU start cycle."
"FADEC system logic."
"Excellent."

Shuttle:
"What are your 12 memory items?"

Chautauqua:
"I'm a molecule of air. Explain to me what happens when I go through the PAC. Backwards."
(Not kidding. Had that on my initial oral.)

Maybe it's becuz there are a good number (all, imo) of 700 hour instructors and pilots (and many Many more experienced pilots) that have no business whatsoever flying an RJ? And RAH may not be willing to close their eyes and push them through anyway. That's the way it should be. I can't believe the number of people I've met that just shouldn't be flying but are.

*edit* just to clarify, I'm not suggesting that if you are a washout of RAH program that this is you, I'm more meaning to generalize.
