Whenever I read these GJ threads, the armchair psychologist in me thinks of the term 'Rationalization', which has the person coming up all sorts or arguments or theories on why what they have done is correct and how everyone else is wrong or mistaken. Freud used the term "Comfortable Illusion", which is what the OP is trying to do: Create his/her own reality.
There's information available via a simple Google search about the history of this company. Some of it is biased toward the TSA perspective, some not. Prospective GoJetters should read it, analyze it, and then decide if working there is something they still want to pursue. If you don't have the ability to critically think about the positives/negatives of a career decision on your own, then I really don't want you at the controls of a jet aircraft. Then again, critical thinking skills are hard to find. It's easier just to ask a bunch of people on an internet forum to debate all the possible scenarios for you.

I picked up on the sarcasm. It's probably the first time I've read a post by you admitting that something about your company sucks.

GoJet isn't a top notch regional. There are better places to be provided a pilot was hired with fortunate timing. Being a 7 year regional FO sucks, I don't care what kind of work rules you have.
The training needs work. The failure rate is deplorable, and directly indicative of the training quality. Example - things like wingspans and the height of the tail are covered in class, and then you get asked in the oral what the flux capacitors do. A lot of times, oral questions are asked without ever having touched on the issue in class whatsoever. I've never experienced a training department that does that.
Save the aforementioned issue, the Airline isn't horrible to work for. It isn't the best by any means either.

I'm a realist, man.

I agree with Nyancat in that I have never heard you say anything negative about GJ before. I also hate Nyancat for the sweet avatar, but what can I say? Haters gonna hate.

The only people that care one way or another are regional pilots. They are unionized so thats all HR and interviewers care about. Did you cross a line or not? They are not scabs.
Remember your regional is so much better than theirs. Now you can sleep better at night.

Funny to me when people do that while calling someone out for being ignorant.

What's the solution and who/what needs to get involved? Flying gets farmed out, mainliners get furloughed, furloughed fly for the regional (jets for jobs),people coming out of college/flight school/CFI situation have SJS,unemployed pilots face running out of unemployment/currency issues. What are the mainline pilots whose company farmed out their flying to G7 doing about this? Have the TSA pilots who were wronged moved on to bigger and better companies? IBTL,quips,GIF's, et.al are entertaining but otherwise.... Good luck and good health to all.
