I don't believe this for a minute. G7 has the best pilots in the industry - a direct result of the incredible training program the company offers.

Here's the difference: GJ pilots HAVE A CHOICE to not work there and undercut the rest of the industry. All the other regional pilots can't simply choose to not work at the regionals and apply straight to majors. That's a HUGE difference. I chose to apply to and work at a regional airline with a strong contract, decent pay and what seemed fair practice.

I mostly agree with the original poster. And as far as getting your time for the majors. Military, charter, corporate??? Those would work. I've just heard from too many regional pilots about their industry leading contract ( respective to regionals) and cannot understand how they are able to convince themselves that there is really that much difference in them and the bottom feeders.

Strong contract, decent pay, at a regional? You have to be joking. Way to set that bar.

Let's be honest. Lack of scope is the mainline's fault ( union and pilot group) for agreeing to give it away. Regional airlines take advantage of this, just like newer pilots take advantage of it to gain experience to better their qualifications. If anything it should be a stepping stone, not a career. Go to the place to get quick pic and leave that place in the dust. And no, I never flew at gojete or any other regional for that matter.

Does this mean Timmay is at Colgan now?

So, ALPA dropped the ball when they sold mainline scope down the drain... and regionals took off and ran with it.

Now, ALPA dropped the ball on TSA scope and the opportunity to take the 70-seat flying... and GoJet took off and ran with it.

So regionals are OK, but GoJet is not? And also those furloughed UAL pilots who came to GoJet courtesy of ALPA are also quasi-scabs now?

Mark my words... I called out bernouli for being a GJ recruiter months ago.
