Wow, trying to get a double thumbs-up from all mainline pilots? Haven't heard that " the regional airlines are taking mainline flights away" argument before.

Mainline airline managment gives away flights to a regional airlines - to save money.

Regional airlines picks up flying - to make money.

Regional airline desides they want - to make more money

Current regional pilots cost "too much" - find a way to make more money.

Develop an airline within an airline that bypasses the current contract of the "costly pilots" - Regional airline makes more money

Fo's realize they can go to the "new " airline and become a CA instantly - guess what .....they now make more money.

I don't think they would say they worked "hard for and sacrificed" for the flying, they just did what was in their contract. I think he disrespect comes from the bypassing of the contract due to another pilot group within the same company.

What a worthless argument. Thanks for trying though. You can't even begin to compare GJ taking from TSA as to all RJ pilots taking from mainline.

Here's the difference: GJ pilots HAVE A CHOICE to not work there and undercut the rest of the industry. All the other regional pilots can't simply choose to not work at the regionals and apply straight to majors. That's a HUGE difference. I chose to apply to and work at a regional airline with a strong contract, decent pay and what seemed fair practice.

Your both wrong. GoJet pilots didn't even exist when HK and Trans States management formed a holding company to enact that plan when TSA pilots voted down the crappy 70+ seat rates and a contract extension. Duane Worthless tried to convince the pilots to take it because of the strongest scope language the regionals had seen that was coming with an extension, but the MEC had a different idea. GoJet pilots have nothing to do with any of it. They are just doing the same thing that pilot going to TSA are; Working for a company that pays below industry standard wages. The initial cadre and management that went over there from TSA to help start GoJets are the only ones that anyone could even frown at over the whole thing.

The whole thing is pretty childish now days. In fact, if I was hiring a guy from TSA, I would have to ask his opinion on the situation to find out about his maturity level so I could gauge how he would react when one of the other FOs in a 4 man crew took more landings than he got on a 10 day rotation around the world. Water under the bridge; Something that can never be changed. Some of you TSA guys that spout off the loudest about it, weren't even there 6 years ago when it all went down.

Grow up and get over it; Try putting all you negative energy towards something that can improve things for a change.

I don't agree with what G7 did but I do understand why it happened. Young new pilots care about two things; SJS and themselves, that is it. Until guys are willing to hold off and not start flying until things improve, and the guys currently in the buisness tell management we are not putting up with this **** anymore, nothing will ever change. There will always be new, young, SJS addicts coming into the buisness without a care in the world except themselves and the top gun ace image they have of themselves. As for us in the buisness that are so ****ed off, we should all walk / strike to get the message across, nothing says ******* off like 10,000 guys on strike. However this will never happen because people have bills and families or are just plan scared of the outcome. I get all of those reasons and understand people have to feed their family. Due to these reasons we will all continue to eat it and management will untimely win out at all levels.

PS...IBTL! And the logic of the original poster is mostly flawed but I am not gonna open that can of worms. You just need to do a little more research and develop a better understanding before making such assumptions.

Nope and that's the ONE thing I hate about these GoJets threads...people throw that word around way too much.

GoJet Pilots =/= Scabs

We have our differences and most of us joke around about hating them etc but to cheapen the name "scab" is just BS.

The name Scab is reserved for those who truly deserve it. If we go around calling everyone and their slutty sister a scab it's going to lose it's meaning...and the actual act of scabbing will seem...ahem....less damaging.
