TSA owner Hulas Kanodia said to TSA ALPA to fly 70 seaters at a certain rate. TSA ALPA said no. Hulas said ok, and long story short, formed Gojets, paying them the rate he wanted. Problem is TSA ALPA thought they had leverage when, really, they didn't.
Stop the hating now. GoJets became unionized, and ALPA national endorsed GoJets for ALPA furloughees at United and ASA.

Why was there never a grievance filed by TSA? Just asking.

One argument I can't stand is.... "all regionals are the same." Please it's like saying all majors are the same. Nothing is the same. Some regional contracts are far superior than others just like some major contracts are better than others. The past 5 years have taught people that you may well end up at a regional for much longer than you anticipated.

Just a quick tidbit
Reading the NMB report, it sounds like the pilots at GoJet are the last to blame. If United had not relaxed their scope, it would have not legitimized the creation of the new company. The report lists the scope clause as a reason for the separate company's existence.
