Default GoJet Interview and Training

How about some honest, informative, and concise info on the interview, what to expect, if hired what is training pay, what life is like on the line after training. Also, how are CQFO's treated by the other Pilots; Captains as well as First Officers alike. Please, if not interviewed recently or not a present or former GoJet Pilot avoid flaming, baiting, or making rude comments. If you know someone who works or worked at GoJet and would like to share what they told you about the company, feel free to do so. I would be willing to bet this thread will be closed by the morning, but lets see if we can have some "Pilots helping Pilots" for a refreshing change.

I never interviewed at GoJet but I was told by someone who interviewed recently with 121 experience that the interview was easy and laidback.

Good to hear, that's a positive note, I have an interview on the 30th. I am looking forward to it and hoping to get the job. I have been flying 121 Supplemental (pax and cargo) for over 20 years and while I have some great memories, just somewhat burnt out on that part of the industry. Frats

I hope you get the info you need.... I know after my company went under, and I went to work at Skybus, I got a lot of grief about it... but that was mostly from people who don't know what it was like being unemployed and going broke.

best of luck

I know how to use the "search" function. I am a little pc savvy, was writing line code at Auburn University School of Engineering in 1982. That was before Microsoft and Apple brought everyone else into "the loop". Thanks for the advice though. I will give it due attention.

Wasn't Skybus out of CMH? I want to say they called me for an interview in spring 2007, and then ran into some financial trouble. Does that sound about right?

yes, tho there really wasn't much financial trouble..... not unless you count Morgan Stanley pulling their $130M out to go short on Oil Futures after helping drive the market up to $150/barrel ... all while "investing" the most capital into a start up airline in history... But dang if that IPO wasn't going to time out the way they expected.. so they pulled the plug.

Greedy bastards.

What's always funny to me is that almost every single GoJet thread starts the same way. "I don't want this to turn into a flamefest, but..." "I know this thread is gonna get closed, but..."

Ever wonder why that is? And why, invariably, every GJ thread turns into a flamefest and DOES get locked?

Search the other threads, and all your answers will be found. Pilots helping pilots...Refreshing!

I have many similar stories. The rich have been doing it to the poor since the beginning of time. I would like to find a comfortable spot in this business, with some decent bennies, matching on the 401k, and some operational competence. Then just enjoy flying, get my check, and get home to Pam and the beach.
