I don't want to sit right seat forever. So tell me which one I should work at and why. Pay? Did I miss something there? Is one of those other regionals going to pay me 50-60k as an FO??
I had no problem clearing 50K last year as a 5 year pinnacle FO. It's call work rules, which is something im sure you dont't have. It's not hard to swap out all my CDO for regular trips and credit 110 for the month, try doing that at GJ. I personally can't see why I would go to a company that would pay me $6/hr less to fly an airplane with 20+ less seats. Seems like You're ok with it. Oh and the upgrade is there if I wanted it but I enjoy having 18 days off and not have to worry if I'm going to be home for the Holidays

Any pilot at G7 that has been there 5 years is a captain making much more than your $50 K. Keep up the good work in the right seat.

So you suggest that I start at PCL and work my way up for another 5 years as an FO? Sorry but for DEC I got 18 days off at GJ. Picked up a lot of OT. You say 6$ less per hour so that means 6000$ a year. Humm $6000 a year, well i would gladly take the quick upgrade then sit at PCL for 5 years for an extra $6000 a year. Do your math buddy. Sorry you are where you are at! As far as work rules go, so far they have been a lot better to me then the last place I was at that had the "killer" contract. My only regret about coming to GJ is that I DID NOT DO SO SOONER!!!!

Eagle FO's over 3 years, 43-50k depending on whether they want 16 days off or 12. Way more than Taco bell counter I think.

So how many years does it take at Eagle to upgrade now? 10? 15? Soon to be 20?

We are still upgrading, we still have new hires training and upgrade classes are scheduled trough spring. Of course we don't know the mAAster plan (we do know that 15 airplanes are being parked in a few weeks) and we are expecting the hammer to drop any day now but for the time being people are upgrading!

I was a CA after one year at Pinnacle, but I didnt want to be on reserve for another 3 years so I downgraded myself in 09. So what's you point? Once again the CA spot is still there if I want it and making more than you will to fly an aiplane with 20+ less seats. Less than one year upgrade? Big deal, im sure there's other things you have that's great too like min day and 100% cancelation pay right like us.

Quick upgrade? That's funy, we had those when in 2007 when FO only need to sit in the right seat for 100 hrs before they can upgrade, many Comair guys would come over here for the quick upgrade. It will stop for you guys too, just a matter of when. Why should you be sorry for where I'm at, because Im an FO by choice? I have the senority to hold a CA spot on the -200 or the Q400. So don't make it sound like it sucks to be where I am.
