If these are in fact true payscales on APC, and correct me if I am wrong, but GoJets pays more then Comair does for CAs

First off, the obvious discussion is "How did your airline begin?" As far as GoJets is concerned this is a land mine that I won't even start to discuss. Second is pay. Almost all of today's "premier" regionals have fought long and hard for their current contracts. Giving here, taking there. As far as the comment about taking the majors flying away, there are other threads dedicated to this subject in particular. The way your question is written leads one to believe that you are defending GoJets, and are trying to seek justification as to why not join their team. If, after reading all the threads on this site, (including how most GoJet pilots hide their I.D.'s on the crew vans) you still feel the need to join this company, Good luck in all your endeavors.

These pay scales for Comair are not accurate. They are out of date. The actual pay scale for captains is not that far off though. The main point of contention is that the Comair pay scales from this site are a concessionary contract forced upon them while in (a sham) bankruptcy in 2007. The GoJet pay scales can't say the same. But please feel free to justify GoJets existence all you want.(But please go back a few pages on "The latest about Delta" thread to hear their opinion about it.)

I circled the drain at Comair and almost got flushed but I got out of the bowl before that happened.

Gojet is not perfect and it is a regional and as one poster said a long time ago on here "there is no such thing as a good regional". Gojet believe it or not is a good bunch of people and they have the best positive attitude I have seen yet. At Comair it was always a battle with scheduling and always being screwed somehow. Here so far everyone is so pro-active it is a 180 from what I was used to. I actually call scheduling to see if there is anything I can do for them. (yeh surprised me too)

I never back stabbed anyone to take this job, I am not a scab. I never crossed a picket line or flew struck work. Heck Alpa sent the United guys here does that make them scabs too? I am just trying to get ahead and anyone that says I will not be able to get a job later on is so full of BS. I learned all of this is BS when one day I was DH on Freedom when I was at Comair, plane was full so I volunteered to JS to get a pax on. Turns out the Captain had less than 2500 hours and the FO had 600 hours. Here I was at OH with 7000 hours. (dual rated) *** did I do wrong? At that point I learned I am out for me in this cut throat world. I can stand on my soap box only so long before the bills need paying.

Gojet is a good place, it is small and everyone knows your name. The training is good and the checkride is not easy. The aircraft are good the flight attendants are hot and the schedule is for the most part very productive. The pay is regional pay not the best and not the least. Upgrade time well who knows last Captain I flew with had been here 9 months.

When I was at Comair all we ever heard was "Delta wants to get rid of the 50 seaters" Well Gojet has no 50's, CRJ700's only! When you look at all the other DCI carriers look at their fleet.

Now as far as all these guys saying "oooh if I find out your are a Gojet pilot I will not let you on my jumpseat!" Horse Hockey! Never been turned down yet and if someone did turn me down well guess what when I turn down someone from their company and they ask why I will say well go ask your buddy Captain XXXXX he turned me down. All these posters on here that spew that trash are just that, trash they are just ****ed off chair flyers.

Ok now I have said everything good about Gojet, I will include some bad. They as of now do not pay for your hotel while in training. That can be pretty tough if you do not have money in the bank. Cost me about $2000 while I was in training but you can do it cheaper and a lot of guys did. My accountant will have a field day with my expenses but in the long run I am still out my money. It can be done for less there is the Pilot Projects which charge $70 a week I think.

If anyone is considering Gojet as an employer do not hesitate to PM me for a phone number to answer your questions. I AM VERY HAPPY I AM HERE AND IT WAS A GOOD DECISION FOR ME!

My airline was just above GoJet, now we have a great contract. Industry leading some may say, its great but not perfect. But from where we came from to what we are today due to the pilot group, made a significant change. Im not justifying GOJets nor any other regional. But for everyone to mark the pilots and people who want to work there with a scarlet letter is ridiculous. You never know what a pilot group with dedication could do to that airline.

Stop saying that Im trying to justify GoJets. I will go to the Delta page and do research as to why all the hatred.
Out of curiosity, whom do you work for?

Just take the job. If you want to work there, don't ask anyone's permission. Do it. Bite the bullet and let the chips fall where they may.

Just remember, you gotta live with the reputation. I banged a news anchor woman once and a fugly old hag. Guess which one my buddies remember.

I have some tolerance for the just out of flight school, don't know any better, FNGs who go there (they might get a ride, but they will get an ear full). But guys who previously worked in a union shop and have no problem working there now, better not b!tch either when they are snubbed or when their management forms a new company to undercut them.

In the mean time, I am starting a new airline. It will fly 737s, and the CAs will be paid 30k (yeah it is cheap, but you will get that type for free). For the new guys, I will be offering right seat time for only 98 bucks per hour. Think of it, in one year you will have 900 hours of 737 time for only $88,200 and you will be SUPER hireable!
