I think this thread is completely argued out.
The bottom line is that if someone puts out applications and goes on interviews and GoJet is the only offer at the time...than go ahead and take the job. If Pinnacle offers you a job than take it. IF you get offered by Mesa than take that job.
Some people are not as fortunate as others to be able to go to their first choice airline.
The most important thing in aviation is to get as much experience as fast as you can and move to the next level.

Not at all. Go back and re-read the post he was responding to, where I explained my reasoning for questioning the controversy surrounding GoJet. He completely missed what little nuance was there.
As I suggested there, I think the controversy is still quite debatable, but the risk of being at the mercy of those who disagree isn't worth it.

Don't think the controversy is debatabe, as there is a definite controversy, whether or not the reasons behind the legitimacy of the controversy is where a debate comes in, and you will not be able to find a clear cut answer no matter how you slice it, some will say "no problem" some will "hate you". There are only several regional airlines that have pilot groups that are often disrespected by their peers, so as you said, i wouldn't risk being the mercy of those who feel the need to disrespect you. This is your first airline gig, do your best to enjoy it, and THAT will have a drastic influence on your QOL. Hopefully blackwing, we'll see you walking around the airport in ORD one of these days, and everyone will give you the nod, and the occasional "What's up", as opposed to the cold shoulder and evil stares than many in a different company hat so often recieve.

It is only debatable if you have already done the deed, in which case you are just trying to rationalize why you are such a [insert derogatory name]. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should ever have to go work for GoJets. There are hundreds of alternatives from CFIing, night freight, other regionals, and so on.

If thats really your desire, then go there. It will give you the most experience in the shortest amount of time, and will make you a damn good pilot since every minute of it will be hand flown.
Only draw back is the $, but its do-able.

I liked that joke the first time I heard it from my great-grandfather as we sat around the morse lamp, watched the flappers and drank a toast for old President McKinnely.

Gents, the education has been thorough. You obviously don't like the answers. My advice is to go ahead and take jobs at G7. When you do, PM me your names and I will personally do everything I can to make sure you never work at my airline.
Thanks, enjoy the ride.
