Management is the problem, that'll never change. Their eyes have $$ in them...Which I guess is the bane of their existence.

That is true. However, in the long run, labor turmoil equals less opportunity and profit.

You sure about that? I realize this may come as a shock, but not everyone scours internet gossip boards as part of their job search so I'm not sure that's a reasonable assumption.

Nobody ever got filthy rich through honest competition. Most captains of industry agree the standard isn't "what's right" or even "what's legal", but "what can we get away with?" Even what you'd call "honest competition" often involves taking unfair advantage of customers, employees, suppliers, or all of the above.

I agree that capitalism can have cuthroat tendencies, but it's an unwritten law that you don't openly screw somebody for your success. When it is uncovered that this has happened, society frowns upon this, i.e. Enron. The society we are talking about now is the pilot society, and according to unwritten laws you don't circumvent a CBA and an entire pilot group for individual gain. Whether you think "GoJet pilots are scabs" is opinion or fact is irrelevant. Nobody can PROVE that they are scabs. But the airline industry has it's standards. From my self admitted limited knowledge, GoJet's creation does not meet those standards. That is the beef with the majority of 121 pilots and to discredit industry standards, in my "opinion", is naive.

Believe me, if they weren't smart and did their homework prior to showing up in class, they sure as heck find out first week.

At that point, I wouldn't hold anything against them to get the type, get a couple hours, and bail to somewhere else. Everyone there knows they can't hold their heads up high. It's the ones who stay despite that that are to be well...you know.

1. I don't know when GJ started, for the sake of this discussion let's say Jan. 2007. What if a new regional (commuter) airline started in Dec. 2006 with CRJ7s based where GJ started and contract flying for UAL with the same QOL & pay - would the pilots that joined this new commuter airline be openly or covertly screwing fellow pilots?

2. Then this Jan. (2008) this new airline unionized and brought the QOL & pay up to the teamster's negotiated contract with GJ -would the pilots for this new commuter airline be openly or covertly screwing fellow pilots??

3. Two years from (2010) this new airline brings alpa on the property and matches or exceeds your or Skywest's QOL & pay - would the pilots of this new alpa CBA commuter airline be openly or covertly screwing fellow pilots?

Dear Mr. Blackwing,

Fact: The majority of people on here don't like GJ
Fact: I want people to like me

There are two facts for you.

Mr. Baggage Tosser,
You are setting a fine example to aspiring baggage handlers. What amazes me, is how you constantly claim your dislike towards crybabies, while you sit in your ops station crying about an issue you know nothing about. Perhaps you should follow these simple steps which will make your posts more credible.
Step 1) Get an education
Step 2) Spend your life savings on flying lessons
Step 3) Get a job
Step 4) Lose your job to someone who hasn't paid their dues
Step 5) Comment on www.airlinepilotforums.com
