Becasue they are not. They are a regoinal that operates flights under CPA contracts from mainline carriers. Just like Replublic, Go Jet, Air Wisconsin, Commute Air, Mesa, Evnoy, PSA, Peidmont, and Endeavor (except the last 4 are wholly onwned)

GoJet is not like Skywest, Republic, Air Wisconsin, Commute Air, Mesa, Evnoy, PSA, Peidmont, and Endeavor. It is a company that profits by using unethical and illegal means to not pay it's bills. When they promise you a $175,000 bonus, the GoJet promise includes the expection that you are going to have to fight to get the money.

My chest ached, not from labor this time, but from the unaccustomed fullness of each breath. The air, thick with the scent of pine and damp earth, was a revelation. No longer did it hang heavy with fear. It was mine to fill my lungs, a right not a privilege. I stood straighter, feeling the sun warm my skin, a brand new sensation. Free. The word echoed in my mind, a melody replacing the constant threat that had been my life. The world stretched before me, an open road, and for the first time, I held the map.
We are free, brothers. Gojet will finally stop.

Any DEC Captains from the last year
Curious if there's any DEC Captains that can comment on the current status at GoJet. Did you get the bonus promised? Did you get into the Aviate program without any problems? What are the current lengths of time to get to United? (i.e. Is there a backlog of guys since hiring stopped) How many hours are you averaging a month?

Aviate currently requires 1600 PIC to get to United, it does now require a separate interview after IOE I believe. Depending on how much you want to hustle, I would expect that to take 2-3 years. The review board at the end can be stingy so make sure to keep your record clean.
Currently reserve captains are doing probably 50-80 flight hours a month depending on staffing for the month. We’ve greatly increased block hours over the last several months so staffing has been tight. As for a line, expect 80-90 credit hours, maybe 70-80 flight hours.
