true UA will take 7 departures a day verses zero… they will survive as long as Hulas is willing to loose money..

What’s the latest with DEC positions in GJ? Has scheduling and morale improved?

I hear they are sponsoring green cards for Aussie E3 aviators. A law firm has been brought online to sort that out I hear.

How many captains remain, are they getting flogged to death or getting decent time off now?

They're getting interviews and CJOs and getting the hell out.

There are no Gojet captains. Only former Gojet captains.

They're going out of business, sorry.

Is that official or your conjecture?

It's guaranteed to happen between now and infinity. It's a foregone conclusion that Gojet is going out of business.

GoJet Airlines, a regional carrier operating as United Express, is going out of business. The airline announced its decision to wind down operations on September 22, 2023, citing a number of challenges, including rising costs, pilot shortages, and United Airlines' desire to simplify and create critical mass.

GoJet was founded in 2005 and began operating flights for Delta Air Lines in 2006. In 2019, the airline switched to flying for United Airlines. GoJet operated a fleet of 74 Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft, which were used to operate regional flights throughout the United States.

The airline's decision to go out of business is a blow to its employees and passengers. GoJet employs over 1,000 people and operates hundreds of flights each day. The airline's closure will also leave passengers in some communities with fewer flight options.

GoJet's closure is the latest in a string of setbacks for the regional airline industry. Regional airlines have been hit hard by rising costs, pilot shortages, and the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent years, several regional airlines have filed for bankruptcy or ceased operations.

GoJet's closure is a reminder of the challenges facing the regional airline industry. Regional airlines play an important role in connecting small and medium-sized communities to major airports. However, the industry is facing a number of challenges that are making it difficult for many airlines to survive.

I agree it will happen someday. Thought someone had real facts about the near term.

Any G7 DEC's that have taken the sign-on bonus recently (the websight is advertising $175K)? They do not advertise how or when that is paid out (just that it's paid out over some random "12 months"), or how long your commitment to stay is until you don't have to pay it all back? This information will be vital to me in choosing whether or not to pursue this opportunity. Thank you for sharing any insight or experience you may have on the subject!
