Some senior instructors and LCA’s I have talked to (AWAC) say it’s happening. That we are getting 700’s, just hasn’t been announced yet. Probably just an Agreement in Principle (*remembers when we were getting DL flying*) and don’t want that mess to happen again is my guess.

People here keep talking mergers. Mergers make sense if it is the only way to get the assets and revenue streams or deny them to a competitor, but they come with headaches. If you can get the productive capacity in another way it is generally preferable.

He did. Does it make sense to buy an airline in this market? Why not wait for them to shutdown then just buy the pieces you want? The one thing you especially don't want is the pilots, they come with a sense of entitlement they call seniority.

This is false. Read the earnings report. They took 3 back during the quarter (as 700s) and the rest are not going to be delivered right now. It does not say they are taking any more back from GJ, just that more that were supossed to be leased are not going right now. GJ currently has 13 Skywest leases (that are staying at GJ) and 25 other aircraft, some owned by GJ some leased. 7 of these are in the conversion process, the rest are already 550s. Nowhere in Skywest call, Mesa"s or anywhere else does it say that any other carrier is gonna operate the 550 right now. Mesa wants to and Skywest kinda wants to but doesnt seem to care that much. I see a lot of misinformation on this site and I wonder how much of it is ignorance and how much is deliberate. I dont know the future of GJ, the 550, or anything else and at this point anything is possible. But stop spreading misinformation.

Well lets just put it this way...
before covid JO was trying to buy Flybe and to do European regional flying. So enough money to do that. The man is always looking for another why to make money in a scummy way. Its like rinse, wash, and repeat with this guy.
steps:
1. Come up with some new concept to add to money to his pocket
2. Do some shady ****
3. Get sued
4. Settle lawsuit and still walk away with more money
