GJ currently has 13 Skywest leases (that are staying at GJ) and 25 other aircraft, some owned by GJ some leased. 7 of these are in the conversion process, the rest are already 550s. Nowhere in Skywest call, Mesa"s or anywhere else does it say that any other carrier is gonna operate the 550 right now. Mesa wants to and Skywest kinda wants to but doesnt seem to care that much. I see a lot of misinformation on this site and I wonder how much of it is ignorance and how much is deliberate. I dont know the future of GJ, the 550, or anything else and at this point anything is possible. But stop spreading misinformation.
Your right. The original guy misspoke about the earnings call. It does not say they are taking the 13 planes but will not be leasing them. They did however say they plan on operating them their selves not leasing at a later date. So those 13 planes that were suppose to come from OO are no longer coming and the 20 from YV are no longer coming.

I might be wrong but doesnt UA own all your planes? I dont believe GoJet owns any and they are all leased. If I am wrong, how many are owned by gojet?

This is correct^^ Taking back the 3 that can't be financed by Gojets. Will be keeping remaining 13 slated for Gojets and fully intend to have all 16 under contract by end of year with a partner and flown by Skywest, no mention of configuration.

Not sure of exact number but no, UA owns only the interiors (cabins) of some airplanes. GJ owns some outright, well TSH does anyway. The rest are leased to TSH from various sources, banks, other sources. It is true that GJ is not taking any additional deliveries at this point. However UA recently gave GJ the green light to complete the remaining 7 conversions. These 38 aircraft are all on property and have been.

Also I think a lot of confusion comes from the fact that GJ was slated to increase total A/C to 74, and currently those expansion plans are on hold. GJ had 54 planes last year and lost the delta ones but gained the 550s. So now on the way to being staffed for 74 planes but only 38 on property. Hence overstaffed by a lot.

Thanks. Now the math makes sense on the 74 number they were original going to get pre-covid.

Go Jet- 38 (7 parked to be converted)
Mesa- 20 (Not being delivered)
SW-16 (13 not being delivered and 3 taken back)

This is correct. Now a few planes are parked in ORD and STL just due to COVID travel demand but are coming back online as demand improves. But all 38 are on property and not going anywhere else as of
now.

SkyWest had a 10 year lease to gojet (unnnamed third part) for 29 airframes, so the math isn’t perfect. (13 currently delivered, 3 taken back & 13 probably won’t be sent) I don’t know about the Mesa jets, were they announced to the going to GoJet? I never heard that.

Yes, pre-covid.
Mesa was/is getting 20 new Ejets for IAD. The 20 700s were in IAD were suppose to be leased to GoJet. When covid happened Mesas AA contract did/will take a hit and to save some of the flying JO has said he wants to keep the 700s and convert them himself to 550s. He said if he does the plan would be to move into ORD and EWR with them and leave the 20 new ejets in IAD.

Correct, JO mentioned this but it is all contingent on what UA wants. As of now, GJ has an agreement with UA to be the sole 550 operator per contract for I believe 5 years (so 4 years left from now). Now I know this could obviously change but as of now it still stands. Mesa I seriously doubt has the cash to do expensive conversions from 700 to 550 right now and in any case would not do it unless it was sure they would have someone to fly them for (UA). Like I said nobody knows the future, contracts can be renegotiated, etc...But as of now this is all talk from JO. Im sure he would love to take GJ's flying, but as of now thats not whats happening.
