Since we're really just a staffing company I guess they would try to get a contract to fly someone else's planes. Since XJT is 49.9% owned by United and the industry is in shambles I don't see it happening.

I say he likes a challenge, and this certainly qualifies, and keeps it going with United continuing to stay wit Gojet to fly the 550’s. Again need business travel to pick up but that will eventually happen. Once the election is over and the COVID propaganda ends people will come back to fly on the airlines.

50 GSO employees reported by the state. So how many do you have based in GSO? Pilots and FA?
It does say "Temporary" - where the AA layoffs say Permanent.

That one says all employees in MO.
"Number of Affected Employees in Missouri: 525 *This number is the total number of GoJet employees in Missouri. GoJet does not yet have information on its operations October 1, 2020 and beyond therefore the exact number of employees to be laid off is unknown at this time. It is expected that the number of layoffs will exceed 50 in total across all locations in Missouri. Additional information regarding the job titles of positions that will be affected and the number of affected employees in each job category will be made available upon request."
SO it is NOT in stone by any means.

Skywest stated in their earnings report, I believe that is where it was, that they are getting back their 700s in their current configuration, which is the 550. It is also getting back their spare engines. Skywest said that it currently have no partner for who it will fly the planes. 3 have already been returned with 16 more coming.
What does that tell us? I'm thinking: United can't be too happy with the 550 when comparing it to the 200s. I expected united to keep the luxury 550s and get rid of the trash 200s, but the opposite appears to be the case. GJ currently has 31 550 of which 7 are parked, result 24.
GJ has a few that were about to be converted. I guess those could replace the ones going back to Skywest leaving GJ with 20 to 24. But why would they send planes back to SW if the 550 would have a future life with GJ?
