If some news media published a story about what goes on at Gojet when an employee comes down with cancer that would have cost Delta millions. A flight attendant told GJ she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and she quickly received a checkride, was failed and fired. A 250,000 savings by GJ health insurance because Gojet self insures.
Another flight attendant passed out, was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia. She called scheduling and told them of the diagnosis and that she would not make her trip the next day. They called her back at the hospital and fired her. Treatment would not be expensive but Gojet "panicked" and fired her before researching it. Why take a chance when the problem is over with a phone call to fire.
Delta made the right decision. If a good reporter writes a story about this it would have come to hurt them. United is taking a chance keeping its Gojet affiliation. Anyone know a good reporter?

Just curious... I know that TSH is evil and all that, but how much of Delta dropping G7 do you think has to do with the fact that the airline can't hold to schedule at an airport as easy as DTW? Because I kinda think it's related to that.

United lost millions by having a passenger dragged off of a Republic flight flying for United. It did not matter that it was Republic, or GoJet or anyone else.

As for GoJet all we have is anecdotal claims that “someone knew someone who knew someone who sneezed and was fired”. I’ve only seen one case and it had to do with USSERA, not anything even remotely medical. If what you say is true a gaggle of lawyers would be tripping each other to be the first in line for the lawsuit that would come. Of course if you have some evidence and care to share, or find that reporter and have it published I’d be happy to read about it.

Who did they keep? Their own and two of the largest regional airlines. If they needed to trim down to three airlines, which do you think they looked at, a couple of small airlines with around 600 pilots and 50 jets or a couple of large ones with over 2000 employees and over 200 jets each. (actually, Skywest has over 5000 employees and and 400 jets).

It's at the Need Help desk. There's a clipboard with cancelled flights there. Every time that I'm there listing for a seat or waiting for A43 to clear out, 50% or more of the flights listed there start with 61 or 62.
I'm not saying it's the pilots' fault. G7 is a dumpster fire, and there's only so much that the crew can do.
