We have the Bad and the Ugly over here. If you want the "good" you are going to have to look to another airline or be willing to listen to a recruiter lie to you. And GJ throws a lot of money to any pilot who recruits a pilot to come over here, so take anything good you are told about this place with a big grain of salt.
And with Compass going down and being a sister airline, they may take a couple hundred of them and stick them on the seniority list ahead of a lot of the new hires.
And why would a guy who is a CA at another regional want to switch and go to another regional, especially this place?
Even the VP of Ops and Chief Pilot are fired every year or so. If your goal is to become a VP or Chief Pilot, then this might actually be the place to go as there will be an opening soon.

Quite frankly, to answer your question, the money. I’ve never failed a checkride or anything, record is clean.. am just trying to find out if it’s worth the money or not. I figured I’d come to GJ, fulfill my year commitment , and move on.
Doesn’t sound like I should, based on your reply.

Where do you live/are you willing to move?
I would stay away from unstable airlines...
depending on your geography Endeavor/SkyWest/Republic should be your top three options IMHO
Don’t go somewhere for a bonus just to plan on going somewhere else after a year... that’s gonna nite you in the butt down the road..

I would not let my son even apply for a job at Gojet. Its not about the bonus, its not about the pay. It's about supporting a company that when an employee is diagnosed with cancer the person is given a checkride, is always failed, and is then fired. Its about supporting a company that if an employee reads the contract and points out the violation to the company, the company says to F yourself and fires you.

Comrad Strenyakov speaks the truth, sad as it might be. There are many laws that Gojet is required to follow regarding employees, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, etc. There is also common human decency. Gojet gives the finger to the laws and to every employee at Gojet, from the VP of Operations on down.

Just think, you'll be an "exclusive carrier" for United soon. Come "Fly the Friendly Skies" with GoJet. From what I heard Delta didn't want to be associated with HK's practices anymore and cut the cord?

But Delta is all about their "Product". They have a very specific way of doing things they want their DCI partners to be identical. Gojet was all about making the performance numbers meet the minimums of their contract with Delta and leaving everything else to work itself out. That made Gojet target number 1 when it came time to cut DCI carriers.

The decision to cut Gojet and Compass were mostly financially driven. Thanks to the pilot shortage you can no longer save money by having 5 pilot groups fight with each other for a small piece of the flying pie. With rising pilot contract costs and bonus money pouring out the door, pilot costs can't be checked by infighting among us. The decision to drop us was based more on losing the additional costs associated with management and headquarters.
Then the United PR fiasco with the doctor. Delta did not want to blamed for Gojet killing employees.
