Sounds like they are adding 10 700’s to the AA system. 3 from their existing fleet and 7 they are getting from another operator

I've been through 2 airline shutdowns, this will be my third. I better get my apps out before the others do!
Starting in July they slowed to one class a month. The next class starts Monday, Aug 5 and has 14 at last count. Previous class, I believe, was first week of July and had around 20 students. The breaks between finishing Systems and starting SIMS is almost completely eliminated. Starting around 3 months ago, students were being sent home for 2 - 5 weeks after systems while waiting for their SIM sessions. I believe the class that just started SIMs only had a few days off after Systems.

I also heard that arrangements are being made to lease SIMs in Arizona and that the class size limits will be eliminated. They are trying to ramp up their training to meet the need of the new 550s arriving in a couple of months.

Ours at YV is as well. I did find an error and found out the fix had to come through Bombardier. So I expect all of them are similar.

Waiting on new seniority list to come out. If it's like the last few then the company hasn't been able to increase the number of pilots since they made the 550 announcement back in February. We've got pilots moving laterally to other regionals now. I don't see how it's possible to staff additional airplanes after the new year as announced back in February.

Anyone who actually knows what is happening with the -550’s won’t be posting the information on APC.

It is kind of like a dumpster fire. You may not know how or why the fire was started, but there is no doubt there is a fire. The person who started the fire may not be posting the information, but others can sure speculate how things are going to pan out.

Lots of people who know exactly what's going on with the 550s are posting on APC. Lots of people who are afraid things will go bad at Gojet and are trying to convince other pilots to make bad decisions so senior Gojet pilots can keep their jobs are also posting on APC.

If this was YV more info would have leaked by now mainly because there’s a lot of moving parts, it’s almost impressive how much Gojet has kept everything secret. Admitting delays would give current pilots and perspective ones more confidence to stay and go there. When things are this secret and aircraft are getting close to delivery date it makes people nervous.

I have no desire to see GoJet succeed, but anyone posting on APC is guessing. Some may turn out to be correct but that will be due to good guessing and not any kind of inside information.

When I'm speculating or guessing on something I say so. For example, If I were to post that Gojet is the worst place for any pilot to go and that Gojet will be going out of business, I would not need a qualifier. If I were to post that the 550 will be coming by the end of the year, in the near future, or any date, I would say it is based on my analysis, speculation, or best guess. My best guess is that they will start flying in March 2020 and most of the flying will be out of Newark.
