Are we allowed to post quotes from ALPA emails? Well, I won’t risk direct quotes, but I’ll paraphrase the applicable info for anyone who still thinks it’s worth coming here:
Assuming a credit of 75 hrs per month, a 14 year F9 Captain makes 166,000. That’s the TOP paying position at F9.
A 1st year United FO makes 124,000 and by year 3 makes 173,000 when you include retirement and profit sharing. That’s right, a 3rd year narrowbody FO at United makes more than our topped-out captains. (So what was that argument about quick upgrades being worth it?)
Speaking of quick upgrades, at Delta, guys can hold JFK Airbus Capt at 3 yrs on property. At F9 your looking at 3.5 years minimum to hold PHL capt, which pays LESS than a 2nd(!) year FO at United (and probably Delta, American, Southwest, etc. etc.)
Oh, if you want DEN captain at F9 it takes over 5 years to hold. You want a line in DEN? TRY 17.5 YEARS.
Upgrades and retirement? Not at F9. Based on age 65, there are 66 retirements in the next 5 years and 218 in the next 10.
At the top 9 good airlines (Delta, AA, WN, FDX, UA, JetBlue, Alaska, UPS, and Hawaiian), there are a combined 12,900 retirements in the next 5 years and a whopping 27,900 in the next ten!
There is NO good reason to even CONSIDER Frontier right now. It will do NOTHING for your career but cost you money and waste your time.

Not to mention this company will do anything to not pay us. They are stepping over dollars to save pennies. I’m hearing that they are going to cut back block hours in January to the tune of 1600+ hours because we don’t have enough pilots!!! And you still think you want to come here?

I’ve said that while I wouldn’t do it today, I don’t regret leaving my regional 2+ years ago to come here. I’m starting to think that I now do.

I failed to mention that the ALPA email also makes it very clear, and doesn’t mince words that they do NOT expect anything fruitful to come from this new mediation session.
The official ALPA message to pilots already on property at F9 is quite blunt: this place is NOT going to get better. Get out any way you can. Even a senior captain will be better off financially by going to any of the nine airlines listed previously.

We just were. As for what was discussed, read between the lines. I’m not trying to be condescending. It’s all there. I think it’s pretty decent clear that the company still expects us to be willing to wipe away our work rules in exchange for Spirit (or slightly lower) rates.

This is normal before mediated sessions and I would imagine they discussed remaining open sections. Sounds like theres really nothing to report because the company isn't really offering anything and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they asked for more concessionary language. Ill bet they up their number (228 I believe it what it was in april?) and continue going down the concessionary language and pref bid path. If you really want to know it did say call or email at the end of the update.
