It's not a foolish statement... they saw what happened at spirit... lets do some math...
We operate 280 daily flights... lets say we sell an average of 180 seats per flight (a mix of 319, 320 and 321)... I read the average frontier fare is $115 but that seems to be on the low end... multiply that all together and they'd be losing $5.5M a day on fares alone... they still have to pay for gates, landing fees, keeping the lights on... and they have more expenses I can't even begin to imagine... a bank doesn't throw away north of $7M a day because they hate their labor that much...
I think we will get released... and I think we'll get a TA at the last minute before a strike happens... I'm not really sure what substantial progress is in the NMB's eyes but 3 days spent on 100% dh pay and not having to call the company after being bought off for OE doesn't seem like "substantial progress" to me

And remember, FULL RETRO! Indigo does not want to pay, and they just might bet a few million to test our resolve.
Incidentally, almost everyone I've flown with in the last six months is totally committed to taking it as far as we need, to get what we are worth.

Same here. Every single person I fly with is going to vote no on anything that isn't FULL retro. Or giving anything away for that matter. It's time for Indigo to pay up.

I didn't understand it either, and equated it with a signing bonus. However, retro is paying the full value of the new contract back to a specified date, including to those who have left the company.

Agreed! I guess my confusion is more about the dates this would go back to. Retro pay for a 18 months and counting isn't an astronomical feat and totally doable.

At the last ALPA recurrent meeting I went to (5-6 months ago) the union stated that they're using LOA 67 as the benchmark for retro pay. Which dates back to April-ish of 2016 I believe

That would be news to me, but I know nothing. In my little bubble, I thought we wanted LOA 67 retro to April 2016, and full contract retro to the amendable date of April 2017. But what do I know!?!
