Culture doesn't put my kid through college or buy my boat. The work rules at the legacies are as good as any now too. The only reason I replied here is because I'm at spirit and don't have much room to talk on pay rates but fly with guys that don't quite understand how far up the legacy carriers came in the last couple years. We have huge improvements to make in the next Cba. Btw I'm pretty sure indigo knows how to make money but the pilots will have to go on strike to get any of it from them. You need to be united and demand more. Much more. Good luck guys

I think Indigo has got good growth plans for Frontier and I think they will grow like Spirit has been last few years.
Sometimes it's good to swim in a small pond vs. being the pray in the bid pond.
BTW, I haven't heard from my application that I put it yet.

Assuming hired early this year, this is how the FO Pay would follow taking into account the undoing of concessions as you go. I calculated this out for my own purposes a while back. I'm reasonably confident it is correct, but wouldn't stake my life on it.
$37.59 2014
$60.74 2015
$71.49 2016
$81.85 2017
$87.46. 2018 and so forth -
$89.40
$91.13
$93.23
$94.89
$96.57
$98.28
$100.01 TOP'd out yr 12
Please correct me guys if this doesn't look right.

Money IS important - no doubt. Prior to our concessions I was making more than a UAL 75/76 Captain for a couple of years. It didn't make me feel any better, work harder, or look at them differently.
SWA pay has been the brass ring for a number of years, but they were the laughing stock of the industry when they first began (our original Capts made $50K/year when F9 was a startup so it is what it is). Now the Legacies have caught and passed SWA. SWAPA did some negotiating while SWA was raking in the dough, but, to the best of my knowledge, most of their "gain" was due to their position relative to the other airlines' pilots who were working under contracts that had been rejected and gutted under 1113, not because SWAPA got huge raises for them. I'll be corrected shortly, so thanks in advance.
Nobody could have predicted what the industry would look like five years ago and I have no idea what it will look like five years from now. I've gotten calls from friends who took recall from their Legacy airlines, and to a man regard it as a worse job than F9's - that pays better.
Collect the best info you can, and make your best attempt at getting to the place that info sends you. I know people who make millions more than me. They have nicer stuff, but aren't necessarily happier. Do what makes you happy, but please don't rag on those who don't share your priorities. This industry is FUBARed enough without infighting (that I've taken part in- but was wasting my time in doing so).

I agree but that is no reason to not get paid what you're worth. Pattern bargaining only works one way. If there is constantly one or two groups flying the same equipment for far less money it kills the opportunity for everyone achieve solid compensation.
