Just went through recurrent. JC came in and talked. Obviously didn't say where definitively but hinted at likely this year. Definitely said west coast time zone. Need to see aircraft sitting RON for at least 6-8 hours overnight to complete heavy checks. Base would also be MX base. Want someplace to be able to work on aircraft 365 days, no hanger, on ramp, decent weather. Used example of say "Sacramento" so we all wouldn't run out and say he said "Vegas" (his statement), as to what they are doing to test it out. Pilots are obviously last to know. Said it's easy for them regarding us. They announce it, hear it is, bid it. That's pretty much it. We'll see. My money is now on LAS.
Good thing is that the new LAS routes that were announced are starting between 7-8am. That tells me their 6-8 hour Mx requirement is going into practice. If those routes don't get cancelled, we'll have a new base.
I'm guessing it'll go senior for CAs and junior for FOs.

What can I do to updated my resume on the online application. Is it a known problem that you can only upload 3 resumes and are unable to delete any. I keep updating my information but now I am unable to place my most current resume with current times on the application. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I will be working on the 19th, otherwise I would love to be there. I hope we have a great turnout and you guys enjoy wearing your hats. I also hope that those of you who are there will discuss with your fellow pilots why they continue to taxi single engine, not run the APU, not write airplanes up for any little thing they find, call ops for paperwork, call ops for jetbridge drivers, carry things that could be written up at an outstation to Denver, use their cell phones to call DISP and MX, volunteer to conduct new-hire interviews, submit photos to "Winning", pose for photos that will be submitted to "Winning", cut ribbons on inaugural flights, not fill out hotel reports, not call in fatiugued at even the vaguest of opportunities, not use a cab when the hotel shuttle is late, not grieve suspected contract violations, and, most importantly, why they CONTINUE TO PICK UP OPEN TIME.
Have I missed anything???
We should be taking lessons from the Spirit pilots -- those guys are plssed and they are militant. We, on the other hand, just want be be put "Into the Pattern".......what a GD joke.

Guys and gals. It's about time to declare a ceasefire and re-focus. We all want the same thing, a vastly improved contract. Some of us disagree on the length of time this will take and the methods being used to accomplish this task. We pay our dues and elect our union leadership, we may not like every elected individual but this union still belongs to us. Our union is currently trying to unify us, but we have to participate; this informational picketing is less for the company and more for us! Do you have questions about the contract bargaining process and can make yourself free on 19APR? If so, then you are in luck because there will be plenty of union reps there to answer questions. I'm sure we will be meeting at our ALPA MEC office next door to the G.O. There will be more to this pilot gathering than standing around with signs on Tower Rd.
Some disclosure, I'm a former regional pilot that had turned anti-ALPA. And I wasn't that excited to see ALPA come on property. But I'm impressed with the speed and efficiency demonstrated by our ALPA team in advancing our agenda via RLA process. In my opinion, the only way to accomplish the task of securing a vastly improved improved contract are with methods currently being utilized. After all, it is Indigo Partners we have been dealt. Yes, it would feel good to "stick it to the man" but we can't organize a slow-down in any fashion if we wish to continue making progress via legal means.
We were in negotiations for 6 months before being granted a mediator, that is unreal! We surely have the most favorable mediator that our union could ask for, out of a dozen other options. This ball is in our court, the time to unify is now.
Throw on your uniform, (dust off your hats) and please join me at the picket. We're your friends and your co-workers, regardless of your opinions, we want all of you there.

Hmm. You sound just like an FO who took a plane from me a few weeks ago. Dissed me for NOT wearing the lanyard then complained that the APU wasn't running. Last time I checked, the things you mentioned above (single engine, APU, basically everything) are decided by the Captain...
Why am I not surprised, this coming from the guy who just a few pages back advocated for us to be paid no more than Spirit or Allegiant.
You sound like a real pleasure to fly with. "basically everything is decided by the CA?" CRM much? BTW, if I am hot or the cabin is hot, I will start the APU. Your captain complex is not going to stop me from doing the safe thing and not making our pax AND FLIGHT ATTENDANTS uncomfortable.
Oh, and why aren't you wearing the lanyard?

Or maybe a pro (9.7), but that's only if you want to be a baller.

Here. I was a bit off. Its more destinations than Spirit, but we will have 130 weekly departures.
