Yes, unless I'm mistaken most new hires lately have been getting DEN out of training.

Thanks et...
I looked through the last 40 pages or so, but if anyone with recent reserve experience in DEN cares to share some details I would appreciate it. (days off, callout times, open time pickup, etc) Just the usual.
BTW, is it the usual 2 flights with open seats commuter clause?

2 flights 1 hour prior to report. There is some seat availability language in there. Reserve is 12 off, you are not allowed to pick up open time as a reserve line holder. There are several reserve times and call out times that you can bid for. You can aggresive pick up on your reserve days. Overall reserve language was more or less good here.

Forgot to mention in my old post...

You can also bid Long and Medium call reserve which is 12 and 10 hour call outs respectively. They are called to fly first before short calls if windows match, so they tend to keep them pretty busy, but some people seem to prefer it.

I have a friend hired in August, finished OE in November, has a relief line for December. KDEN

Sounds decent...for a West Slope guy that's a huge QOL perk.

I think a PHL or LGA pilot domicile would lead to us hiring street captains!

I highly doubt this! Some people will always take an upgrade, and we have A TON of east coast commuters that have come on in the last few years, with ZERO desire to live in DEN or the west coast. I think people would bid it.

But AW pays more...
Not Excusing our pay rates, but No they don't, not EVEN close! First year AWAC pay is $28, no signing bonus, and currently 5 year upgrade

Plus, something else to consider, hiring virtually stopped after 2007. There are ~15 pilots that represent the entire 5 year span of (2008,2009,2010,2011,2012). And even in 2013 hiring didn't start until late in the year. So there will come a day when Denver upgrade is sitting at X years, and in about a 2 month period - BAM it will go from X to X-5 years.
