Because they hire a lot of single seat mil guys/gals. Not the case at F9. Was told the average TT for a civ new hire at UA was 6-7k TT. Meaning we're taking people with 1/3 of the experience. Again, not saying TT is the only thing that matters. I've flown with low time pilots that were great and I've flown with senior guys that had 20,000+ hours where my thought at the end of a four day was how are you still alive. My point is instead of raising pay to attract quality candidates F9 is again taking the easy way out and our work group will suffer as a result.

maybe you are not clueless

I agree with that.
We will get what we deserve and have earned. First year pay is a joke...so is second, third, fourth, etc

If they would just provide hotels and drop the training contract they would probably get quite a few more quality applicants!

I have been applying since February of 2016 and still nothing so I'm guessing Frontier is not desperate just yet.

That is too logical to be an actual Frontier business decision. This management does not give two sh#ts about quality.

If you are still interested and have the means, find Frontier at a job fair, and/or pull strings for any internal recs you can. Those do still hold weight.

Suffer? Really? How?

When are you going to realize there's one way and one thing that's going to increase our pay?
It's called a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Nothing more, nothing less.
It's going to take renegotiating our CBA to get a raise.

Your so called easy way out has been going on in the airline industry since it's inception.

Good times....another year of "active" benefits enrollment. And another year of someone missing it so they don't get insurance for the next year and saving the CO money. Intentional? Unethical? Standard ops and maybe, just maybe, contributes to decision to apply.
