Management can't be serious!
This proves that they have no desire to actually negotiate an actual contract with the pilot group. It is designed to elicit an emotional response from us. The operation is coming down all around them, and they are trying to push this on the pilots.
Keep those apps updated and get out as soon as you can. If you are trying to come here, Don't! You don't want any part of this Sh!t show.

I'm so glad they decided I wouldn't be good fit and didn't offer me a job. Turned out to be a favor.
Go get the contract you guys deserve. I'll gladly walk with you all in Denver when you strike.

I was asking myself how this would not happen in some fashion. Imagine, a couple years ago you're a Frontier ramp employee, and suddenly get fired with an offer standing from Swissport to do your old job for less money and benefits, then you get fired by Swissport less than 2 years later, and the same offer stands to start over with Simplicity! If you're still working Frontier aircraft at this point, how would you not take that job with Simplicity JUST so you could stick it to Frontier by walking off the job?!

jesus christo!!!
you guys are as emotional as a 14 year old girl getting her first period.
i have not posted here in a long time. i do look here occasionally and today the posts just make me want to shake my head.
first of all, no one in management is stupid enough to believe that any of us would settle for a single one of their chintzy proposals. this is a negotiation for christ's sake. don't ever forget that. we start high, they start low. they hope we will meet somewhere in the middle. they proposals they submitted are b.s. they know it as well as we do. they are simply an attempting to stall and show the mediation board that they are "negotiating".
what we need to do in lieu of this is resubmit our proposals to 10-15% greater across the board in EVERY category compared to the best contract of any other airline in the usa flying a similar fleet type. SWA just got a better contract. our reasoning for doing so is due to changing market conditions. every time another airline gets a better contract and we are still in negations, we resubmit a new proposal as stated above.
telling pilots not to come here because you are unhappy is just f-ing stupid! if you could see the forest through the trees, you would encourage good pilots to come here with the expectation that they will stand with us and help make this company better in the near future.
telling other pilots not to come here accomplishes nothing.
i came here from a long tenure as a captain at a regional. i knew what the pay was but i chose to come here anyway for several reasons: 1)faster upgrade time than any legacy 2) mostly better work rules than any regional in the usa. 3) generally great camaraderie with the crews i fly with. everyone that i have encountered at this company-with very few exceptions-has gone far out of their way to make me feel like i am a part of a family here. you won't get that at a legacy. 4) the regional airline industry is stagnant and likely has no future. 5) i know that in a couple years, this is going to be a really great place to work. i am willing to stand firm with my brethren. i will vote to strike if that is what needs to be done. i promise you that these dorks will cave like a house of cards and give us everything we ask for if we get to the point of a strike. why? because all they care about is making money and milking the cash cow. if we can inhibit their ability to make money, they will do what ever they need to in order to keep it flowing in.
you guys drive me crazy by reacting exactly the way they want you to. stop making this emotional. i promise you that it isn't emotional for them. all they care about is the cash. we have the ability to make this company exactly what we want it to be.
stop whining and figure out something you can do to help all of us accomplish this goal. every one of us needs to find a way to put pressure on them in one way or another.
jesus!
sorry for the rant! carry on with your whining.

It's a dog-eat-dog world, and each person needs to look out for their own interests. I would never encourage someone to come to Frontier, at least for another couple of years. The current state of (mis)management, the pay, the eventual strike, etc. should be enough motivation to look elsewhere. Add to that the fact that even after the dust settles, what then? Is this business model sustainable after the inevitable pay increases? Is it recession-proof after these cheesy, cheap circus clowns leave? The new Frontier is in its infancy, and only time will tell. Until then, I would encourage people to head off to a tried and true business model, like Alaska, Delta or others who have no such problems and uncertainty.
