I think the minimum TT is 2,500. That's probably why. (I'm not sure if you had an interview or not) Aside from that I'd say go to a job fair. It worked for me and a lot of other people. (I'd kept applying for 2 yrs and had never even received an acknowledgement that I had applied.)

It's a great group of pilots to work with. Everybody knows about the pay. It'll improve with a new contract. Till then....it is what it is.

You NEED the hours TT. On the other hand - Spirit has lowered their TT to 2000, and pays better.

....Meanwhile on the Spirit forum.

https://www.change.org/p/spa-mec-dem...irit-airlines?

They're petitioning to restrict their MEC from bringing any TA to a membership vote that doesn't include retro pay. Apparently SWAPA's latest AIP has set the new norm.

Maybe our negotiating committee can make a statement to management: "If we don't come to an agreement by the 2nd quarter of 2017, we'll be seeking retroactive pay from the opening date as a result of prolonged delays manifested by the company. And this negotiating position is to be inherited by any (possible) future management group."

We need to make these negotiations time-sensitive.

Any idea what their pay proposal looks like?
I wonder how close/above/below it is to ours.

The majority of people I know aren't interested in voting yes on any TA that doesn't include a significant amount of retro pay. Especially considering how they've been taking advantage of us and screwing us over every single chance they get.

I honestly have no idea, and I don't remember if their MEC ever distributed any specific proposals to their pilot membership.

Well that's good, BUT I don't recall seeing the word "retroactive" appearing once in the lengthy (and very much appreciated) "Special Negotiations Update."

It's veiled in secrecy but my understanding is that it's an average of SW (latest AIP), United, delta (failed TA), AA, Alaska, and virgin. That's for pay. It's proposed at a 16% DC retirement, improved scope, improved LTD, and maintaining or improved work rules (details of what that means are unknown).
