Yeah, I don't why they're still telling people that. I'll hit the 2-year mark in a few months and am nowhere near upgrade.

That does sound a bit too good to be true. We did have a small batch of guys upgrade right about the 2 year mark, but then we stopped running upgrades for a while. Maybe 5 or 6 months. It looks like upgrade classes are starting up again, and with 80+ airplanes coming in 5 years, I expect the upgrade classes to keep going.

We currently have 57 airplanes and 1000 pilots (roughly). The fleet plan is for 120 airplanes and about 2000 pilots. I believe the currently most junior captain is about 650-675 on the seniority list. Predicting upgrades times is really hard if things don't change and they go exactly as planned. My guess is if you were hired today, you could upgrade in 3.5 years. Or approximately the time we get a new contract

Just curious... what IS ur guesstimate of potential upgrade time? "Nowhere near" = months? years?? Considering options IF I get an interview & ORD domicle. Thanks.

Exactly! Our 'ask' needs to be based on an industry average of our peers. If our management insists on dragging this out as long as possible, our 'ask' needs to be moving up, as the industry average is moving up each time another pilot group inks a contract.

The longer our management group drags this out, the more it should cost them.

Not even close, only the 2013 hires saw that. I'm a 2014 hire and I'm at 2.5 years and not on the next vacancy bid, maybe the following or who knows. It depends how many people keep bypassing. Delta has 2 year upgrades.

Do you mean they are not going to interview you or you interviewed and they said TBNT?
