We currently have 57 airplanes and 1000 pilots (roughly). The fleet plan is for 120 airplanes and about 2000 pilots. I believe the currently most junior captain is about 650-675 on the seniority list. Predicting upgrades times is really hard if things don't change and they go exactly as planned. My guess is if you were hired today, you could upgrade in 3.5 years. Or approximately the time we get a new contract

Just curious... what IS ur guesstimate of potential upgrade time? "Nowhere near" = months? years?? Considering options IF I get an interview & ORD domicle. Thanks.

Not even close, only the 2013 hires saw that. I'm a 2014 hire and I'm at 2.5 years and not on the next vacancy bid, maybe the following or who knows. It depends how many people keep bypassing. Delta has 2 year upgrades.
