Bulldog, I figured Roundup was commenting on ALPA's handling of airline v. airline issues in the past. Frontier 2.0 had a number of Frontier 1.0 employees and their children working for it. Some still do work here, but not enough to sway the ALPA merger vote.

Back to our regularly scheduled Management D!ckhead move of the week discussion.

His wording made it sound like it was a present contention, and agree that ALPA may still be a heated topic in a very small corner of the group.

Here's hoping we can get quickly moved on to Frontier 2.3, getting tired of Frontier 2.2

I have an interview scheduled with F9 and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons if I'm offered a position. Can you guys answer a few questions?

How long is the average training footprint from the beginning of Indoc to the completion of IOE?

Approximately how long are new hires sitting reserve before they can hold a line? Is there any commuter policy for hotels or missed flights?

What's the best guess for projected upgrade times right now?

Training generally takes 7 weeks from class start to the end of sim. The wait for ioe varies but you're paid min guarantee for the duration. Reserve varies on base as well. I'm a DEN FO, and sat 4 months of reserve before I held a relief line but we will see if it continues after the summer months. ORD should be shorter, and MCO shorter still but by how much I'm not sure. Our commuter policy is 2 flights that get you to your domicile prior to your report time but there are no hotels offered for commuters, you're on your own there.

I can't help you with upgrade time but whatever it is, will be likely to change over the coming years anyway.

It's already middle July - when would a July class start NWSteering?

Unfortunately, you just can't believe a single thing that management tell us.

Frankly, I have a hard time buying into the fact they want to double the size in five years. I think they are full of it. Just trying to get applicants and make it look good for an IPO. If my math is correct, that would be over 16 pilots a month for the next five years. IMHO, that just ain't gonna happen.

Where did this come from? Last I heard from multiple (management)
sources next class was September.
Although I may kind of believe this one as I heard from another credible source accelerated deliveries from Airbus in 2017...

While I fully understand your lack of trust in managements word, do remember that all businesses want to grow. Profits and growth are the only goals of a business. The orders are real, and I believe they have every intention of growing the fleet as much as possible. That's not to say something won't change, but of course they want to double. Double the airline, double the profits.
