Anyone else look at the highlights of our 2016 medical plans? $250/month extra working spouse surcharge and $75/month extra for more than one child. I'm sure the premiums will be insane too.

It's absurd that the medical insurance here is worse than the regional I came from

I think they mentioned 100 crews... subject to change before I hit send. There were 5-6 assigned MCO that wanted ORD so there will be more openings as vacancy bids come up. Curious to see base assignments for the next few classes.

After factoring in the $25/mo penalty for refusing to share your personal health information (blood work results, basically), I'm within about $50 of being able to buy my insurance in the open market for the same as what my F9 insurance is costing me.

Truly pathetic, but consistent with the treatment we receive in other areas.

Um, what? How is that even legal?

Which is probably part of the point. Numbers were ran and found that they can squeeze this bit more out.

Did you like how they sent us a news article through Comply365 last week regarding how financially successful they've become followed by the most expensive employee medical plans ever seen? Expect more of that.

Am I missing something? I haven't gotten premium numbers yet. I saw the memo regarding highlights that some max out of pocket deductibles were being reduced and slight improvements to our dental. Are you just referring to the increased spouse and second kid fees or am I just not seeing all the info?

Make sure to ask the interviewers what the pay, schedules, and medical insurance are like. These are very important questions you need answers to before you decide to quit your job to come to Frontier.

Good advice, CrossCheck.

It's been said before, but job interviews should be as much about the applicant determining if s/he wants to work for a company as they are about the company deciding if they want to hire the applicant.

It's easy to be so focused on getting the job and perceived career progression opportunities that you forget to actually analyze whether you truly WANT the job. Kinda like a dog chasing a car. Have you ever seen what happens when the dog actually CATCHES the car? They stand there yipping and turning in circles not knowing what to make of their newest accomplishment. Their little doggy brain is probably running a mile a minute trying to remember why they were so excited in the pursuit and what, in particular, made this such an all-encompassing goal.

Not unlike many F9 newhires!
