Is medical offered right away from day one or is that a benefit that is offered later?

30 days after start date. I have a six day gap because my old insurance runs til the end of the month (July 31). And my new insurance begins August 6, which is 30 days after my start date of July 6.
However, (and again others chime in if I'm not correct) I believe the other stuff like short/long term disability doesn't kick in for 90 days. Fact check that, someone??

That isn't true. Med starts the first of the month following your date of hire. Meaning if you were hired some time in July, you will be insured Aug 1st. This even includes if you file it late as it will back date to Aug 1.

Thanks for the correction. I misunderstood. Too much brain capacity tied up trying to learn the bus, apparently.

Yes, they have a small cost per flight however. Parents, spouse, and children are free.

What he said ^
Also, that is where I got the 30 day thing. You can fly after the first week ( assuming they are as quick as usual at getting you into CASS), but your family can travel after 30 days. Whoops on that mix up.

I did not get the nod from Frontier. It was an ok experience but here is my problem. The interviewers said right off the bat I wish we could hire you all. Basically they are going to cut a certain amount even if everyone is good. This left a bad taste in my mouth. They are being a little too picky. Also the way they call your name out in front of everyone and say you did not get the job was embarrassing. The chief pilot was cold, numb, and about as boring as it gets. The 7 minute scenario was a communication exercise I get that, but the scenario was not realistic with tornadoes, bad weather everywhere, problems in the back.
The others that did not get the job all left angry. I left in disbelief. I thought the interview went well. Maybe they thought I would leave because I didn't have my heart in it. I just wanted out of the regional hell. So so so glad I didn't get the job because NK called me right after. The interview experience was much better. I'm really happy at NK and it is where I really want to be anyways. If you get an interview at NK they say we will hire you all, it is your job to lose. Doesn't that seem like a company who knows how to put you in a good mood for the start of an interview?

I think they can afford to be picky right now, the new planes won't come until next year. I'm not sure what they're looking for, I've seen ones get hired that didn't have much experience and a record.
