Frontier Hiring.
#2101
Overall, training at frontier is really good. Good training dept, good instructors. I have had nothing but good experiences with the training here. My new hire training lasted a total of two and a half months, but that includes all of ioe which took a while because they were short on check airman at the time.
All ground school is in Denver. You may get SIM somewhere else, which is great if you don't live in Denver because then you'll get a hotel if your SIM is in Miami or Vegas or wherever else we might be doing SIM these days.
For your stay in Denver, there are a bunch of hotels within walking distance of the office, and there are crashpads nearby as well. I know that there are crashpads in the apartments that are next to the Parking Spot airport parking place.
As for life on rsv in Chicago, I thought it was pretty easy. a few pages back, someone gave a really good review of our rsv work rules.
Good luck

So I took the advice and read all 211 pages up to this point, and all the questions I had were answered . Thank you very much to the F9 pilots on this thread who take the time to respond and give their input and experiences with the company, it is greatly appreciated. As for me I was offered an interview after meeting with Frontier at WAI this month. I had the opportunity to talk with several of the Frontier people who were there, and they were all extremely nice and down to earth. From what everyone has posted it seems like that truly represents the group of people who work there. I would really love to be part of Frontier and I'm very excited for the opportunity to interview, hopefully I can convince them to hire me!!!

Bravo Zulu! Good post Radar, and I'd say you've got a substantially better chance than not of getting the nod - because A.) you're style and caliber are conveyed in this post, and B.) you're now armed with information and history. Please report back with your class date Thanks for the effort and good luck!
Thanks Sulkair! Hopefully I'll have good news to share! But if they ask me if I'd leave for Delta if they called, would a good response be "Hell No, the Latest and Greatest thread on APC is way too long to read all of it! Frontier's is much easier to manage!"

I'd be anxious to hear what their response to that was

I would caution against this answer. Kind of sounds as though you would rather go to F9 because it's an easier choice. I can tell from your posts that wasn't your intent, but it's just the way it sounded to me. Good luck! I've been at F9 for a little over a year, and enjoy it!

No I thought it was funny. Think I'm just tired. You sound genuinely excited about the prospect of working for F9 and I'm sure that will come through in your interview. It seems to be the real key to getting the nod. Talk to everyone (aka runners) during your "down time" through the day! Good luck!

Interview time change
FYI for anyone that has an interview on the 8th, I got an email that went to my junk box saying they are now starting the day at 0700.
An additional data point in the ongoing discussion, I had an app in for about 16 months with a silver bullet and no calls. I walked into WAI and had an interview in about 1.7 minutes.

Good luck to everyone
