From what I've been told, the firing is for people on line that are leaving. Plan accordingly.
Your probably right. I hope so anyway because even though it is separate they are masters at playing employee groups against each other!

As for firing pilots that give their 2 weeks notice, is that really true? Is it happening to everyone? I guess Colorado is an "at will" state. Don't you have to give your two weeks in order to get your vacation according to the employee handbook? Pretty petty if it's true.

Just what I heard...

But some here have verified.

I know of one person that left over the summer just coming up on his year that gave more than two weeks notice and finished out his month. He could have been a rare case, I'm not sure.....

Do we seriously have folks that think the equity stake is going to pay out $300k?!

I will be amazed if we see anything considering how long these pirates have to conjure up new ways to screw us.

Hey Zooo!! I always love your honest, well thought out observations. But lately you seem a bit down and a bit pessimistic! What's up?

There are some good things happening at Frontier. There will be lots of new hires for 2015 and the indefinite future. I just heard 190 - 240 new hires for the year 2015!

We survived so many years when there was not much good news.

I know there will be some challenges ahead of us with pay and contract issues, but without this new ownership team, we were toast.

Right now, I am cautiously optimistic about our future!

I didn't realize I was coming across as "down", I am actually more optimistic than ever with regard to the future careers of F9 pilots. The company has never been more profitable, the "no end in sight" for some pilots stuck on RSV has been resolved, upgrades and growth. Life is much better than it was in 2008, or 2009..2010..2011..2012...

I agree, the purchase by Indigo and resulting NMB representation election (thank you again FAPA) was a new lease on life (although we still have a few litigants fighting the IMSL issue).

With that said I think we have a very hard road ahead of us with a fight at every turn of the road. Thankfully a majority of the pilot group is engaged and ready.

i think your advice about talking to everyone in the cafeteria was invaluable. i took that to heart. after the end of the day, someone actually made the comment to me about how outgoing i was compared to the rest of the group. good thing i didn't sit around all day doing crossword puzzles. thinking back, there were a couple of guys that were pretty disconnected from the group. who knows how the interviews for them went, but unfortunately, they didn't get the good news at the end of the day.

i had lots of good things about myself lined up to talk about during the panel. either by not getting the chance or forgetting, i would say i probably delivered about half of it. turns out, that was enough.

Good Stuff, Fly-

Welcome aboard! Definitely on the front side of the hiring curve.
BTW, where's home? Curious to see if they're stacking towards folks east of the Mississippi......
