I agree with both statements entirely. It sucks to pay money. Unfortunately, the harsh reality is we are not the only indistry to have this. I have gone to, and have know many family/ friends that have also gone to many "fairs" and trade shows to get job connections in many industries. It is a way to have organizations easily meet "dedicated" people. I don't agree with it, mainly because it hits my checkbook, but it is an accepted evil......

The degree thing is definitely not a deal breaker from what I have seen. I had people in my class without degrees and have flown with many guys that don't have one. I really am a believer they put much more emphasis on the personality than the numbers. I also think it means a lot right now to be living on the east coast.......
Last question he was asked at his interview was......Tell us a joke.
he did right on the spot and apparently they liked him! Be yourself. Oh.....and bye the way, they hired 4 of the 15 they interviewed that day. Best of luck to all that are applying

I have an interview coming up on the 18th. I am really stoked! I have a prep set up with Emerald Coast this week. Been studying my butt off trying to get myself prepared.
I sent my information to Kim Fuller for positive space to Denver on the day before but have not heard back with an itinerary. Is this common? I don't want to annoy her or anyone else by sending it a second time.
If there is anyone here who sees this and is also interviewing on the same day, hit me up if you want to share a hotel room.
Also, if anyone comes across this and has any interview advice, I would appreciate it deeply.

Speaking of no chance of sleeping. When did you guys shrink the legroom on your birds? It has been a while since I've bummed a ride with f9. I felt like I was on a spirit flight with larger armrests, TIGHT! The dude in front of me wasn't appreciative of the massage my knees were giving him the entire flight(I think he thought I was intentionally doing it). Indigo= spirit copy?

In any event, we do start reconfiguring the fleet this year with slimline seats. The A320 will be at 177 seats and the A319 at 144 seats.
Indigo flips airlines. Right now ULCCs are hot so that's what they're trying to turn Frontier into before they either IPO us or possibly find another buyer. In the long run I think it would be best for Frontier to get swallowed up by another carrier. They don't seem to be too serious about pushing rebranding and commercials to anyone other than the employees. I'd venture to guess just to keep the kool-aid fresh.

To the guys asking about the type of people they're hiring (I.e. Coronafly, etc.)- I'm in the December class of 28 new hires. There were about 7 91/135 pilots, 3 military, and the rest regional. For the charter guys, most of us did not attend the job fair nor did we have recommendations. All of the regional hires attended the job fair. It seems they are focused on hiring good personalities, job fair attendees, and east coast pilots. Their formula appears to be working since everyone in Indoc was a class act and we had no abrasive personalities at all. Good luck.
