Let's try to put on our big boy pants and understand that while there is a lot of hiring going on everywhere the airlines (Frontier included) still hold thousands of qualified applicants in their app pools. I understand it's easy to fall into an entitlement mindset when most other advancement opportunities in this job are meritless, but this is one of those times you really do have to sell yourself and find a way to get noticed. A few columns of largely arbitrary numbers in your logbook are only a small piece of the picture.
Frontier has hired people recently with far greater experience than the person mentioned. They've also hired people with less. If you are using your logbook as a sole metric of why you aren't getting hired somewhere then all I can say is good luck. It's going to be a tough road to a better job for you.

Training department and CP are both planning to hire approximately 200 new pilots and upgrade 50-60 FOs in 2015 with similar plans for 2016 and 2017. Obviously, things can change, but that's what they told us!

Hey guys long time listener first time poster, I am currently at Envoy and received a call to interview with Frontier next week. I've got a couple of questions that hopefully some of you may be able to answer.
1. Is there a training contract?
2. Is the Junior base Chicago or Denver?
3. How long before someone could possibly hold Chicago?
4. How long should someone expect to be on reserve?
5. Do you u guys/gals line bid or use PBS?
6. Work rules? min days off/Long call/short call reserve?
7. Which insurance company does Frontier use? What percentage does the employee pay?
8. Are the pay scales listed on APC correct?
9. Ipads or paper charts?
10. Pros/Cons of work rules
I know this is a lot, but I am trying to gather as much information as possible. Also any gouges on the interview? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks

I don't have all the answers, but here's a few:
The bottom 45 pilots are DEN based, but Chicago will be growing in the coming months (rumor is that it will be doubling in size), so you should be able to hold it very quickly.
For Denver, it could be a while (possibly indefinitely if Denver shrinks), but for Chicago or any new domicile, probably a matter of a few months.
Line bid, and not likely to change anytime soon, if ever.
Long call = 12 hours, medium call = 10.5 hours, short call = 2 hours.
You bid for morning/afternoon/evening reserve within the short call lines, and the company has a very limited ability to change that during the month (2 days notice, and only to the adjacent window).
Hard lines have a 12 day off guarantee. Reserve lines have 18 or 19 reserve duty periods per bid, depending on whether the bid month has 30 or 31 days. Otherwise, average days off next month = 15 for both Denver and Chicago, average credit is 81 for CHI, 77 for DEN next month.
The pay listed is inaccurate. For today's new hire, the scale looks like: $38 1st year, $61-63 during year 2, $71-78 year 3.

Best pro is that the work rules went unchanged during the bankruptcy, and pay will snap back to pre-concessionary rates by March 2017.
