There will not be a class of more than 30 in November. The training Dept simply can't have that many people. There is not enough simulator time available. There also are not enough IOE captains to handle that many new hires. I would guess a class of 20. From what I heard in recurrent, there will be many more classes to come. Just not huge classes.

Hey guys, I have been reading through this thread and gathering as much information on Frontier as I can. There are only one or two questions I have that I haven't seen answered yet and I was hoping some of you could help me out:

1. Flight Benefits. How do they work at Frontier for you and family/friends? Similarly, what is your ability to travel OAL? Do your parents get any OAL travel benefits?

2. What is a typical schedule for RSV and a Line Holder? Are most trips commutable? How many days off in between trips?

3. Any idea on the future direction the company is taking? I have seen a couple of people mention new bases in IAD and somewhere in Florida. Any other news/rumors about the future?

I really appreciate all the help. Frontier seems like a great place to work for and somewhere I would really like to be a part of. Thanks again!

Hope you are wrong (even though 20 is much more realistic). Back in early 2000s there was a class of 30+, and the airline was smaller back then with less resources.

Travel Benefits at Frontier are pretty much as you would expect. You, and your immediate family (wife, husband, kids, parents) can be listed for non rev travel on Frontier flights. As a pilot of course you are in CASS. You will just need to provide copies of marriage license, birth certificates for the travel benefits. However I will warn that Frontier has the highest load factor in the industry, so its very difficult to get your family on the planes. I think we are running a 98%+ load factor right now. Every flight I fly is full to the brim.

RSV schedules are 12 days off per month. We have Long, Med and Short call (12 hours, 10 hours, 2 hours) For Short call we have about 5 different windows of being on call. Ranging from 4am call to 7pm call. You can probably get whatever rsv you want. RSV QOL is pretty good at Frontier.

For the Month of NOV, the average line in DEN was 15.5 days off and 77 hours of credit. It was just slightly better in Chicago which is soon to be an ORD only base, no more MDW.

The future of the company is the ULCC model. Cheap tickets with additional fees for most things. Its is not super customer friendly of course, but its making money. According to an article in the Denver Post, Frontier posted 15% profit margin last quarter. Frontier is making more money then ever right now. The company is probably on a better track then it ever has been. We have big money backing us up now, and we are growing. CEO says to expect 10% growth ever year. New Airplanes are coming in 2016. We are currently looking for used A320s and cancelled new A320s coming out of the factory.

There will be a new pilot base soon, although no one knows what it will be. I believe it will be either Washington Dulles or Cleveland. A lot of people think or wish that it will be Orlando, but I think that Dulles is the most likely bet. It needs to be in the east coast time zone, and it needs as much flying as possible. Id bet a dollar on Dulles.

Frontier is basically shooting to be Spirit with better customer service and a better reputation. Our fees are less than Spirits, and we are trying hard to keep the customer service up. The business plan makes money, so I think Frontier will be around for a while

Also worth mentioning is that the people listed on your travel benefits can get positive space on a frontier flight for 25% off of the lowest published fare at time of purchase. Somewhat cumbersome to use at the moment but supposed to be fully automated in the near future.

A recruiter called me the other day, and asked if I was interested in an interview. I said absolutely! But you guys know I interviewed in June right? Awkward pause... "Oh. Yeah, you're not eligible." He said he would talk to JP and see if I could make another attempt, but I never heard back. This was about two weeks ago.

Pretty disappointing, once again. I'll keep trying, I just wish I knew why they didn't hire me the first time. It is what it is I guess.

That's brutal wrx...hopefully they'll give you another shot!! Anyone getting a TBNT letter? I've heard nothing but crickets since I submitted my resume online but wasn't sure if that's a bad thing or not a bad thing...
