Report: Frontier jets will fly out of Milwaukee
Denver Business Journal
Five of Frontier Airlines’ jets will fly out of Milwaukee starting in November, and five smaller jets now used by Milwaukee-based Midwest Airlines will be moved to Denver International Airport, according to a news report.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported online Tuesday that the move is part of Republic Airways Holdings Inc.’s efforts to more efficiently operate Frontier and Midwest aircraft.
Indianapolis-based Republic has already acquired Midwest and plans to absorb Denver-based Frontier in early October as part of a plan to bring Frontier out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Republic has told its employees that five 136-seat Frontier Airbus A319 aircraft now based in Denver will start flying in and out of Milwaukee in early November and will be staffed by Frontier flight crews, the Journal Sentinel’s JSOnline reported.
At the same time, five 94- and 99-seat Embraer E190 jets that now carry the Midwest name will operate out of DIA.
The shift is under the umbrella of a code-sharing agreement already entered into by Frontier and Midwest. The agreement allows Frontier to sell tickets on Midwest under a Frontier code and expand its portfolio of destinations to include those flown to by Midwest. Most of those new destinations will be in the Midwestern United States and in Canada.
Republic has been laying off Midwest flight crews, JSOnline said.

Similar thread already running Sir, and as it is three pages, I would say yes.

As a Frontier pilot, it certainly does concern me. The pain is not over, and there are certainly still many unknowns. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
What is also interesting to me, is how many Southwest pilots' have an interest in our situation. Please forgive me if I question your motives. To me, this would be comparable to me posting, "Just curious if the illegal parts used by Southwest have anything to do with the hole that ripped in the fuselage during flight?" Take care

It damn well should concern you. Your quality of life and pay is in jeopardy. The Republic first officers top out at $37/hour on all aircraft. You are being merged with them, and they are the bigger group. When it's all said and done, the best case scenario for you is to maintain status quo.

I'm following your plight because I'd like to see how you're able to reconcile the promise of keeping Frontier as a standalone brand (aka ... "save the animals!"). From an outsider's viewpoint, it appears there were no promises of keeping the Frontier personnel or aircraft as standalone entities. This deal of semantics could be a warning post for other merger/acquisition negotiations in the future.
Has there been any word if the MKE-based A319s will require relocating F9 crews out of Denver or will MKE simply become a frequent overnight stop?

Like everyone I hope for the prosperity of my company. I have believed from the beginning that Republic will sell F9 down the river without a paddle as soon as they can and the highest bidder will get the remaining assets. It looks like that is playing out.
With regard to the illegal parts fiasco at Southwest, yes it's a mess. It's embarassing and costly but it looks like they've got a handle on it.

How so? F9 has 12 new Airbuses on order with the first 3 coming at the beginning of the year, Bedford is actively searching for new "used" airbii, and F9 just passed a TA with RAH which includes pay raises. Also, I'm told all furloughs will be back by the summer. Also, they just announced a bunch of new flying to Florida, Mexico, and new cities to be announced soon. I've got some friends over there and they're cautiously optimistic about the future. Whats bad about working for a company that's in a growth mode?

1) New TA with pay raises.
2) Furloughs returning.
3) Expanding service.
I'm calling your bluff. Cite your sources, so the rest of us can see any validity that may exist in this.

1) Just ask any F9 pilot. I am not one so I don't know the details, but I do know some F9 pilots and thats what I've been told.
2)3 new aircraft at beginning of year + any used aircraft they are actively searching for. When you read the link in #3, you will see they need more airplanes to facilitate this growth. These new airframes should recall most of furloughed crew to man these planes. These 3 were approved for reorganization by the CC and BK court. I will try to find the links for you as soon as you can. Yahoo frtnq.pk has some good links. They may be in there. I'll get back to you as im able.

although this might seem like its not in the best intrest of F9 guys its not going to hurt either. This is no different than Chautauqua moving flying from MCO to CVG or RW moving flying from PHL into CLT. Although they may not be flying their "brand" they are still benifiting RAH by having appropriately sized aircraft on the routes that need them.
