A pilot is a professional by the way he or she conducts a safe flight, regardless of the size of their airline or the ego that one allows themselves to fester in their mind.

A Short History of the Midwest Airlines Pilot Situation
2007 Air Tran bids for Midwest. A consortium of investors, TGP is allowed to win the bid for Midwest instead of Air Tran. TGP investors group included Northwest Airlines, now Delta.
2008 “TPG Capital/Northwest Airlines Corp. won, AirTran Holdings Inc. lost and Midwest Airlines will keep its name, identity and independent status, after reaching a sale agreement with TPG Capital Thursday night.”
“JUNE 24, 2009 -- Republic Airways Holdings said it is acquiring Midwest Airlines from private equity firm TPG Capital and expects the deal to close after gaining final regulatory approval within six weeks.”
Midwest Airlines pilots had safeguards in their contract written by the Airline Pilots Association that represented them. They were inadequate.
The Airline Pilots Association failed to protect the Midwest pilots before the inception and implementation of this “business” transaction. They did not want to upset the dues paying ALPA pilot group (Delta), who’s company bought and sold down the river, the lesser dues paying Midwest pilot group.
Now the ALPA spin masters are on this board trying to blame non ALPA carriers Republic and Frontier for this situation.

So now we have a USAirways pilot endorsing the Frontier pilots flying MEH routes. Why am I not surprised?

I agree, but the Republic EXCO and pilots were happy to cross Midwest picket line during contract negotiations. Next they blocked integration talks after merging with Midwest causing all Midwest pilots to be furloughed.
The Republic EXCO and BB are planning to lock-out the Midwest pilots by managing recalls just like the furloughs.

Say one of those 190's in MKE. That is a big jet. The whole MEH deal is quite sad. The terminal is dead. It is hard to have a robust terminal with this type of operation. When I was there last time, there were plenty of 170's but no 717's.

If ALPA had done their job properly in the first place, this would not have been allowed to happen the way it did. Now ALPA turns their back on the Midwest Pilots.
This is the new blueprint for other Airline management, in dealing with the pilots.

Funny, I never saw any picket lines in MKE. Never read anything about a strike. And if I had my way, we would never have gotten involved with Midwest. So, no I am not happy about this situation. Our EXCO has clearly stated that we can't come to the table until the F9 deal closes, and their pilots agree to begin talks. It makes no sense talking with one party in a 5 player game.
No one is happy about furloughs at Midwest. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Please do not claim without any evidence that 1) RAH pilots crossed any picket line, and 2) that RAH pilots are trying to screw you. Best of luck.

Also, you going to honor picket lines set up by UPS mechanics if they go on strike?
