Frontier jets will fly out of Milwaukee

although this might seem like its not in the best intrest of F9 guys its not going to hurt either. This is no different than Chautauqua moving flying from MCO to CVG or RW moving flying from PHL into CLT. Although they may not be flying their "brand" they are still benifiting RAH by having appropriately sized aircraft on the routes that need them.

1) Just ask any F9 pilot. I am not one so I don't know the details, but I do know some F9 pilots and thats what I've been told.
2)3 new aircraft at beginning of year + any used aircraft they are actively searching for. When you read the link in #3, you will see they need more airplanes to facilitate this growth. These new airframes should recall most of furloughed crew to man these planes. These 3 were approved for reorganization by the CC and BK court. I will try to find the links for you as soon as you can. Yahoo frtnq.pk has some good links. They may be in there. I'll get back to you as im able.

2) They're getting new 320's but parking 319/318's. It's a swap. Want proof? There's a F9 airbus with the animal picture removed from the tail at the F9 hangar in DEN. Until recently, there were 2 or 3 of the same airplanes sitting in PHX just south of 8/26. I hope for F9's sake that they are growing, but I don't think its true.
3) Simply a re-allocation of aircraft. Those airplanes will come off DEN routes to be sent to MKE. Lynx is starting service to SLC soon. That used to be a mainline route, one that UA flies an Airbus on.

If the tables were turned and 717's were in Denver flying Frontier routes while their pilots were thrown out on the streets, do you honestly think they would sit back and welcome us with open arms?

As for the 318 swap...the 320's being leased during bankruptcy were suppose to be swaps. The order for 10 or so 320's is growth. That order has been on the books for some time. But now rumor around F9 is the 318's aren't going anywhere except the 2 that have left. F9 owns the rest of the 318's and once it's out of Ch 11 in a week it won't have the luxury of using bankruptcy to rid them.

FLEX -- Why does it interest you so that Southwest pilots have an interest in your situation? We had a potential benefit to both groups (my opinion) and are watching from the sidelines to see if our assumptions and estimates were correct. No need to be flippant toward the pilot group for a bad maintenance decision. Take care--
Does this concern anyone?
Report: Frontier jets will fly out of Milwaukee
As a Frontier pilot, it certainly does concern me. The pain is not over, and there are certainly still many unknowns. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
What is also interesting to me, is how many Southwest pilots' have an interest in our situation. Please forgive me if I question your motives. To me, this would be comparable to me posting, "Just curious if the illegal parts used by Southwest have anything to do with the hole that ripped in the fuselage during flight?" Take care

Boy, you're bitter, give it a rest already. You weren't on strike, no picket lines were crossed, therefore no scabbing occurred. You want to point out a scab, there's all sorts of links to scab vision on the Amerijet strike thread. Oh, and guess what, even if either the Frontier or Republic guys wanted to refuse the flying on principle, they couldn't. It would be an illegal work action, and those ARE AGAINST THE LAW, or are you so blinded by irrational anger and hatred that you can't understand that? Midwest is owned by RAH now, as is Frontier, so using RAH and/or Frontier pilots to fly old Midwest routes is management's call, whether you like it or not. What's happened to the YX guys sucks, but it's not the fault of any pilot group...Midwest, Frontier, Republic or otherwise. Sometimes things just don't work out. Midwest pilots aren't the first group in aviation history to lose their jobs, and they probably won't be the last. Somehow, the pilots from Braniff 1 & 2, Frontier 1, Pan Am, Eastern (the guys who weren't scabs,) and many others managed to move on. The Midwest guys will, too.

Frontier pilots will be no different than the Republic ones when that first bus flies out of MKE in direct violation of the Midwest CBA.
