Oh yeah, what have you done about management flying at UPS? I know you guys and gals at UPS have more management flying than any other airline or cargo carrier. Where is you tough stance on scope in that case?
Also, you going to honor picket lines set up by UPS mechanics if they go on strike?

The management pilots at UPS are an ongoing problem that we inherited with the first IBT contract in 88. In process now is the methodology to eliminate this separate group. They are currently restricted in the flying they can do, by displacement (our guy gets to sit at home and get paid),and an abused allowance called MEF(management emergency flying) when they can't get any of us to take it, they also do the test flying and the proving runs.

I agree.
Add to this that the Republic EXCO has not put out one communication supporting the union that is being replaced. Then add the fact that the replacement workers are being paid 50% the wages of the Midwest workers. Can't say that about TWA, Pan Am, Braniff, ...
This is a company lock-out that is being aided by Republics EXCO and pilots.
Don't hire Republic pilots

Have you engaged in an illegal work action? If not, you talking out of both sides of your mouth.

I see from another post of yours that you appear to be a Delta pilot. The question you asked would require self incrimination, very provoking in itself. Basically a question that can't be answered. The Republic pilots are doing nothing to assist the Midwest pilots, except get in airplanes and fly cheaper.

I agree, but the Republic EXCO and pilots were happy to cross Midwest picket line during contract negotiations. Next they blocked integration talks after merging with Midwest causing all Midwest pilots to be furloughed.
The Republic EXCO and BB are planning to lock-out the Midwest pilots by managing recalls just like the furloughs.
Republic EXCO and BB are in bed together on this deal

The YX pilots were between a rock and a hard place - either take the lower pay rates, or get furloughed. They chose the latter option, otherwise they might still have had jobs until this mess gets resolved, but would have given up the right to fight it through the legal system. In choosing the latter option, they retained the possibility of having an arbitrator rule in their favor, but now face the possibility of being stapled to the bottom of the SLI due to their (largely) furloughed status. It's a ****ty deal, and I hope we can get them all back working again ASAP.

The RAH pilots that I've talked to have all agreed that the YX pilots should be integrated. It's not like that will happen overnight though. You may be new to this industry, but SLI's take months, or years.

As to my time in the industry, second generation airline.
