SWA has said they plan on operating Lynx, at least for a time until they can better understand how it would fit in. (Playing the devil's advocate) Lynx may be new, but how can they not be denied a SLI just on the fact they fly T-Ps. The MB Amendment was supposedly put in place to protect jobs in an airline integration so they could have an argument that they deserve as much a place on the SWAPA seniority list as a Frontier pilot. If it ever went to arbitration there is no prediction on how it could end up. It is possible that Lynx pilots could end up ahead of some Frontier pilots since "fair and equitable" is not based on DOH.
I could care less if someone is flying a Q400, I would personally high five every lynx pilot if they were able to get on board with SLI......as long as they weren't senior to me of course

Quite a few in the SWA pool right now fly T-P's. I was placed in the pool prior to ever touching a prop lever but I'm stoked SWA is even considering keeping Lynx around. Great bunch of highly experienced pilots with great attitudes and great folks to grab a beverage with.

"An integration (SLI) of the F9 pilots can include anything from a straight staple to a negotiated integration. The manner in which the Company structures the transaction will dictate how your M&A Committee proceeds."

I do care if someone is flying a Q400. Especially if that Q400 has Southwest Airlines painted on it. Then it better be part of SWA, and flown by pilots on the SWAPA seniority list.

It would be nice to see an airline whose "regional" feed was on the same seniority list as the "mainline" guys. There's no reason, in my mind, that Lynx couldn't be brought into SWAPA at some point down the road as F9 draws down.

no, you might want to listen to their conference call and read the email to their employes. they want the SWA unions to agree to it , that is the deal breakr, not FAPA or Teamsters. don't read things that dont exist. be thankfull if you get a staple at a carrier that will be in biz 6 months from now unlike Frontier.

GaryKelly : hey SWAPA, SWA needs scope relief to operate Frontier as a separate entity for 2 years.
SWAPA: sure, give us what we turned the cba down for and staple FAPA pilots with longevity pay protection and a domicile protection of 5 years.
GK: done
later that day
GK:hey FAPA guys, option one, you agree to this staple job and be thankfull you have a job , loose no income and get to fly out of denver unless you want to move to a SWA domicile
option 2, we shut you down after we buy you wich is cheaper than trying to run you out of biz over the next 2 years...
now Mr Widebody captain, what will you choose?
both unions will "agree" to it, just like GK said.
No integration, no real negotiation, no arbitration.
