I think the bottom line for those running F9 is, can F9 afford to better their product? Can they afford not to? And what does that look like? We don't have the answer and it seems its a moving target they need to be on top of. We are spectators in all this but can suffer when they don't do well.

Oh great now we are closing the door 20-25 minutes early. This is going to backfire big time.

When will they figure out they just need to hire a few more people? It’s really not that difficult.

Closed the doors on 4 people today 24 mins prior to departure and the gate agents only let 2 on and the other 2 went away with cops because there was a "breach in security".

I am guessing there wouldn't have been a breach if they were allowed on when the doors should have been opened. This is the 2nd time in a few days we have gotten pax counts from gate agents more than 15 mins prior to push and they want us to get out.

I have been seeing this too. I get the count and have takeoff data 15 mins prior with a zero fuel weight indicating we are leaving a substantial number of passengers behind. Door must be getting shut at least 20 minutes early. How are other captains handling this? Siting in the seat and watching the disaster unfold or confronting it?

Well seeing what they want us to do... Just do it, let them deal with the repercussions.

In the end, we are necessary wheels in a cog that they require to do something and people get paid more than us to figure this out. If it goes wrong, they will change it. Not our problem.

I have seen opposite. Ready to leave on time, then we have to kick off a drunk that peed himself. Clean seat, then someone starts getting verbally ghetto, away they go, still looking to
leave on-time , then suddenly 15 people appear in jet bridge without seats. Leave 20-30 mins late . 🤦‍♂️

I was late every single leg on my last multi day trip, so we didn’t have to worry about that.

Ah, the apathy has set in strong with this one. I feel like I remember you being an F9 cheerleader as a new hire. How rapidly the tone has changed. Congrats, you're now part of the problem.
