typical Biffle double talk. I’m sure he said “flight” time. There is an obvious difference however between fixed wing and rotor.

He did say hiring was returning to the "old days."

No idea what that means for cadets or RTAG.

I would assume, just like everywhere, hiring will be much more competitive going forward.

I actually really enjoyed listening to the webcast. As someone who loves learning and knowing about the more corporate and operational side of airlines, it was pretty insightful and he did mention some good points and admit they went too far in one direction and are easing back into another.

We will see what happens, but it sounds like we will be on a smooth hiring path of 20-40 pilots a month for the foreseeable future.

The recent guidance is growth 4-5%. That is 105 pilots at most, 9/month net. Are we overstaffed and what will attrition be?

159 to178 planes= 12% growth. There must be a reason we would only see 4-5%. My guess is the P&W engines AD.

Yeah he said back to the old days of hiring in response to cadets asking when they’re getting hired. I definitely take that as we will be prioritizing regional guys over CFIs until the majors go on a hiring spree again.

It was only about 3 years ago when you needed 3,000 hours TT or some regional PIC to get hired at Frontier or Spirit.

Too far in one direction meaning what exactly? Day trips? Cost cutting? Class sizes? Have not listened to the webcast yet

There are two PW issues. We have no engines with the first issue and 48 motors with the second. The second issue is a mandatory inspection and possible replacement of certain parts but not as bad as the first AD. Apparently Pratt stepped up with more replacement engines so even if we have longer term issues with the 48 motors we have more replacements today than we expected. The different fan blades have different deadlines, between 4,000 and 10,000 cycles.

Assuming an airframe has 10 cycles per day (high end estimate but easy math), the company has a ton of time to schedule 24 aircraft for inspections, especially considering 21 aircraft are arriving in 2025. The pratt issue is a non-issue for F9.

Also, 5-10 lease returns in 25 according to Brad, but take that for what it is worth.

He mentioned saving money on hotels as being a win... so don't expect them to abandon the day turns.

Since when do we believe what Barry tells investors? I'd argue there's evidence against it working to the extent they want it to (80-90%)
